Trump: I happen to be a fan of no mail-in ballots, even though I won Florida which is mail-in ballots by a massive number. In California, they cheat badly with that. Democrats get sometimes six or seven ballots in one household. And Republicans are calling for their ballot.

Very good video about the view from Canada and I'm sure most of the western world at this moment. Just utter bafflement at the conduct of this administration. For those who don't know, Andrew Coyne is considered to be a centre-right commentator in the Canadian context and he nails every word of this.
It was obvious trump 2.0 would be bad but we're entering worst case scenario territory here. At this point we can't even rule out the administration at least attempting to deploy a nuclear weapon if Iran continues to embarrass them. As Coyne says, at some point, the western world may have to speak up in unison and make it very clear that we will not tolerate a country amassing this much power while behaving as belligerently stupid as it is.
Its not just a matter of outlasting trump anymore. He is the symptom, not the disease. Consider that 30-40% of voters still support him even as he torches americas reputation, engages in naked, outright corruption in plain view and threatens the safety of the entire western world. Then add in the 30% or so who cannot even be bothered to vote and it paints a pretty clear picture: about half of americans have simply given up on their nation. America as it was founded just doesn't appeal to them anymore. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I really don't think the country is ever coming back from this.

That only really touches the surface of your complaint, but it's also rather representative of what's going on. The Republican Party has been outright sabotaging the nation in many ways, including what can fairly be called outright treason, for the sake of political gain for the entire lifetime of most Americans and have not been properly held to account for such. Rather, they've been rewarded for doing harm. They've long since normalized it in practice and the population is very much seeing and feeling the effects, which is obviously not appealing. "America as it was founded" misses the mark entirely here and just invokes the fundamentally dishonest and misleading spirit of Originalism, really.
As for proving you wrong, what you said is a bit too vague and fundamentally off base while also accurately citing a real symptom that does not have an easy solution to reasonably even try to prove you wrong.
