It willl be interesting to see what the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts schedule to going to look like,given it's new chairman well know standards fo good taste.

Trump isn't cutting the budget. He's ripping through it like Hulk Hogan rips his shirts. He's breaking it open with a sledgehammer. he's lacerating it into ribbons using a blunt steak knife.

"Cutting" is far too clean and neat to describe what he's doing.

Trump can sit in Mar-a-Lago and call himself the chairman, but he won't be in reality. Accepting that he pays no heed to laws or conventions, he simply cannot dismiss a person from a private board of trustees or management position and name himself their replacement. And if he tries to attend, have him arrested and thrown out on the pavement outside, like they would for any other interloper.

This nonsense is all happening in his tiny, smooth, frazzled, fast-unraveling brain.

Interestingly, the CFPB is established by law, so remarkable that elonia can simply dismantle it willy-nilly. Imagine what else can be undone, simply by elonia having a grudge.

The CFPB's primary mission was to investigate deceptive and predatory lending practices. Luring people into unsustainable debt and foreclosure had previously been lucrative. This bureau has been a Republican target ever since its creation.

Indeed the CFPB was established as an independent government agency precisely to prevent such meddling by the President. It's not clear from Musk's tweet whether the agency is gone altogether or whether it just been effectively emasculated.

Same here. I haven't missed a superbowl for at least 40 years but since the america decided to stab its closest neighbor and ally in the back, I now hate that country with the heat of a thousand suns.

I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised, but I always thought this would be the nomination where the gqp senators would at least pretend to have a spine and an independent streak. The nomination was as blatant a quid-pro-quo as any, and yet they all fell into line at the first time of asking.
