Again, Landry will put as much work into this appointment as he does into his governorship.
 
I wonder whether it wouldn't be possible for the goverment of Greenland simply to expel Landry on the ground of national security, since he has been publicly and explicitly sent there to subvert the state. I suppose there's an argument against being up-front offensive, but I keep having the feeling that part of what gives Trump his power is that too many people are afraid of just saying "◊◊◊◊ you" out loud.

So many, many times more American citizens and legal foreign residents shouldn't have interstate highways because "illegals" are also using them? What as ass.
 
Hopefully, the 2028 election sees a return to sanity with a blue sweep and the first several months generally spent undoing all the damage that Trump and his lickspittles have done.

I have a mental picture of Trump seeing a picture of the Vasa, and saying "Hey, that's just the sort of..." whereupon an aide starts to say, "Well, you probably should know that..." whereupon the fearless leader interrupts "Don't pester me with woke details. I'm gonna get me one too!"

It is perfectly possible for a country to not receive another country's ambassador's credentials and bar/expel them and their delegation. Landry will probably not ever set foot in Greenland.

ETA. would be a hoot if Landry was refused entry at the airport, and was deported...to El Salvador.

In itself it's not a completely bad idea.

A battlegroup built around a command ship with long range missiles and a large AA fit is a valid idea.
Making it nuclear powered gives it extended duration like the carriers it would work with.

Maybe Battlecruiser might be a better name for it but using battleship is valid.

We know these particular ships will never be built and the Navy has no intention of building them in this form.

They couldn't even get the much smaller Constellation Class into service, this would just be another procurement black hole.
