Trump's Second Term

Do what has to be done

Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump
Ther are laws that effect our Nation. Read Title 18, Chapter 115, Section 2387, "Whoever with the intent to interfere, impair, influence the loyalty, moral or discipline of the military and Naval Forces,......to be fined or imprisoned up to 10 years." Commander Kirk Lippold, U.S. Navy, Ret. This is right on point. DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE!!!
Trump and Hegseth are jailbound?

Every accusation. What does the President think of his armed forces who die or are wounded carrying out his orders, does that not "impair, influence the loyalty, moral or discipline of the military and Naval Forces"?

Stephen Miller: “The Democrat Party, via the Biden-Harris Terrorist Administration devised a scheme to import illegal aliens into the country by the millions — granting them ‘parole,’ which gives them work permits, which gives them Social Security numbers, which gives them access to the voting booth — and finally hooking them on welfare like Hunter Biden hooked on drugs, all with the sole purpose of participating in U.S. elections and ultimately overthrowing the Constitutional Republic of the United States.”

Is it just me, but are the main Trump admin characters trying to use every single insane, fake, anti-Democrat meme in every public utterance they make nowadays,at even higher volumes? It's all starting to get very shrill and even more unconvincing than ever.

They are bratty, thieving children who have been found telling obvious, massive, stinking lies but are unable to admit it and have to shout louder because they think that will get them out of severe punishment. It's Chemical Ali on meth. It's the portly DPRK newsreader with a gun to her head. It's the insane ravings of a condemned murderer being dragged struggling but inevitably backwards to the electric chair... All while knowing their leader would sacrifice them to save his own demented orange hide, or grift yet another buck, without a second thought.

Biden's fault

Secretary Kristi Noem
@Sec_Noem
The Biden Administration created one of the worst national security crisis in American history with the abandonment of Afghanistan. Biden let into our country nearly 100,000 unvetted Afghan aliens — figuring out who they were and their intentions when they were already on American soil.
@POTUS Trump has been working every day since January 20 to clean up this unmitigated national security crisis

Yes. It was handled badly, but it was Trump who abandoned Afghanistan

Strange as it seems, even a wannabe dictator like Trump still needs voter approval, mainly because he needs the Senate. The Senate that will impeach him. The Senators are already not looking forward to the 2026 election. So now we see that there is a clear jump from 50% disapproval to 54% disapproval. In a week. The approval line, MAGA voters, is holding out flatter.

Trump: Tim walz gave billions of dollars to Somalia to get all those Somalis to Minnesota.
This whole Minnesota is funding Somali terrorists thing was dreamt up by far right tabloids like the City Journal. Even the more "mainstream" right glurge aren't buying it.

I’ll stipulate that the timing of the withdrawal was designed to occur so as to push the messiness of the actual withdrawal into the following administration.

But do you deny that withdrawing at some point was the right course of action?

FTFY!

There's more than a bit of desperation in the GOP and MAGA. They can see the polls and their internal polling showing they are going to wipe out in the midterms. There's even concern about losing a seat in Tennessee that was Trump+20 in 2024.

So they pull out all the stops - every half bit drooling conspiracy is given attention, NewsMax tries to convince you that being angry at Trump is a psyop, Trump's cabinet just plain lies to our faces saying the economy is just fine and dandy, and of course those darn trans are gonna invade wimmen's sports I tell you! The hope is to get MAGA back in a state of anger at people they never encounter once more and into the voting booth.

Will it work? I couldn't tell you. MAGA seems listless as things are affecting them and they can't really deny it. Had the National Guardsmen being shot happened in June there would be MAGA fury, but now them trying to stoke rage over it seems to fall flat as Trump seems more interested in pardoning wealthy drug dealers and crypto scammers.

Desperation in MAGA, yeah. The simple dudes voting to deport aliens eating the cats and dogs really have no alternative. They simply keep celebrating Trump "wins."

Yes, a withdrawal would have been the right option. But the one TACO personally negotiated, i.e. the release of thousands of Taliban members followed rapidly by an unplanned (and unplannable) chaotic withdrawal leaving all local authorities unprepared but the Taliban highly so was completely the wrong way to go about it.

But then again, I don't think Shrub should have invaded Afghanistan in the first place, not for his declared reasons anyway. If he had wanted to bring a country to justice for September 11th, he should have invaded Saudi Arabia, whose private army al-qaeda effectively was.

We simply can't rule out that Trump actually believes the vast majority of the nonsense claims he makes. He's dumb and doesn't understand anything, so he can't find out information on his own. Everything he knows is given to him by a toady in his service or by a self-interested lobbyist. He's constantly provided with print-outs of favorable lies from MAGA figures.He very well could believe that he has a great approval rating, that the economy is rolling, and that he's in perfect health.

The US Senate does not have the power to impeach. That power belongs to the US House of Representatives.

Following impeachment, the US Senate would have the power to convict, but 2/3 of the Senators would have to vote for conviction. There is no realistic path for Democrats to hold 2/3 of the Senate any time soon, partly because senators serve staggered 6-year terms, so conviction following impeachment will not happen unless a number of Republican senators vote for conviction.

Which means the part I highlighted in blue is misleading, and the part I highlighted in pink is simply false. Trump mostly needs the House, not the Senate. If Democrats acquire a majority of seats in the House in 2026, they would be able to impeach, but very few of the Senators who would decide Trump's fate in the Senate are at risk of losing an election in 2026; two thirds of them won't even be up for election in 2026.

You sre nitpicking. I've gone thru Tump impeachments. The house runs the charges and so on. But every impeachment so far, Clinton included, has failed to remove. By Senate. I was using impeach as shorthand for "remove." That is what everyone on social media does.
