Trump's Second Term

I thin it is more blind party loyalty then nefarious schemes.
They can't do an oath to Trump. So it can only be "you are all experienced soldiers and have the best of America on your mind. But it would be a shame if you display disloyalty to President Trump in any way. Your retirement plan may be affected."

By my reading, you spoke of the commander gathering in what dudalb responded to and gave no supposition about why. dudalb's response doesn't really address your post at all, which makes it odd that he would even include the quote of your post. Thus, it's a bit off to respond to dudalb's post as if he was actually addressing yours. Flo was speaking about something notably different, on the other hand - her post refers more to the people in positions around Trump like Miller and how they're more interested in pushing their nefarious agendas than in reining Trump in, in part because Trump's insanity makes pushing their nefarious agendas much easier. dudalb's response did directly address what Flo said, on the other hand. Personally, I'm much more on Flo's side here. The people like Miller are pushing nefarious agendas. Blind party loyalty may well apply much more further down the line, of course, but not so much to the limited group of people that Flo was referring to. To wrap this around to Hegseth, of course, blind party loyalty would probably be sorta weird to apply and nefarious agendas may well not apply. Hegseth can likely be explained more with incompetence, idiocy, and trying to keep appearing sufficiently loyal to Trump to keep the job. I get a vibe that's more like a incompetent idiot who managed to get into middle management by using backstabbing office politics and sycophantic words to sway the boss. Attributing either party loyalty or nefarious schemes to someone like that is a bit off, in my opinion.

Reactions: Flo
Trump tonight appears to have pushed the false "medbed" conspiracy theory, which has spread in the far-right internet over the years.

]
TL/DR: It's a scam using an AI-generated video, and President Dumbass fell for it.

President Trump shares seemingly AI video amplifying 'medbed' conspiracy theory

On Saturday, President Donald Trump shared a seemingly artificial-intelligence-created video which promotes a currently unannounced, and once-conspiracy-theory, medical technology.

In the post on Truth Social, Trump shared a video that looks like it's from Fox News' "My View with Lara Trump" where she announces breaking news that the president has announced a new "healthcare system" with the launch of America's first "MedBed hospitals." In the video, the president is seen announcing the technology from the Oval Office.

There is no proof that Trump ever made those remarks from the Oval Office or that Lara Trump ever made that announcement on air. Information about MedBeds has not been released on the White House's website or any other official channels other than the president's Truth Social account.

In the video, the seemingly fake video of the president announcing the program says that a limited number of "MedBed cards will be released," and registration details will be announced soon. But a search for "MedBed Cards" found a website selling you the cards. The card shown in the video and the card on medbedcard.com look similar.

For $447, someone can buy a single card. In FAQs listed at the bottom of the website, the card promises the following benefits, none of which actually include a MedBed or access to a MedBed:

"The MedBed Card is made of metal and personalized with your name. With it, you receive:

  • Exclusive information about terahertz technology — you’ll be among the first to know.
  • Up to 70% discounts on all our products as a member.
  • Personalized offers delivered directly to your email.
ℹ️ The MedBed Card has no other function or meaning beyond the benefits listed above."

TAPPER: Just to be clear, there's not gonna be any negotiation at this meeting? This is just gonna be you, Thune, and Trump telling Jeffries and Schumer 'we're not giving you anything'?

MIKE JOHNSON: I'm telling you where the president's head is

...That chyron. Given the lack of context, what I filled in was -

Democrats - We should be working to help the people of the US!

Johnson - That is absolutely absurd!

Next, he will push the No-Planes 9-11 piffle. And Flat Earth Theory. And the Nazi base on the far side of the moon. Anyone want to make a check-list?

Also, I repeat what I said recently: Someone is now letting him run unchecked and unfiltered so there is plausible deniability when they have to check him into an upstate funny farm in the near future.

I also reckon I know where the president's hand is. When Johnson isn't at work, Trump probably keeps him in an old, battered suitcase.

So, just to clarify, this story is about an AI video seeming to show Trump boosting the Medbed scam. And (I can't believe I'm having to ask) it's not about Trump having watched that fake video of himself and thinking it was real?

He reposted it. Maybe he thinks it's real. Maybe he just reposts anything that seems positive about him.
