FBI Warns of Criminals Posing as ICE, Urges Agents to ID Themselves

In a bulletin to law enforcement agencies, the FBI said criminal impersonators are exploiting ICE’s image and urged nationwide coordination to distinguish real operations from fakes.

Criminals posing as US immigration officers have carried out robberies, kidnappings, and sexual assaults in several states, warns a law enforcement bulletin issued last month by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The bureau urges agencies to ensure officers clearly identify themselves and to cooperate when civilians ask to verify an officer’s identity—including by allowing calls to a local police precinct. “Ensure law enforcement personnel adequality [sic] identify themselves during operations and cooperate with individuals who request further verification,” it says.

a decent walking rate is about 1mile per 10-15 minutes. That's how I time my walks, based on podcast play times.
ICE agents don't really need any training though. They just need to be ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ with weapons and hide behind masks. The whole GOP small government thing.

Mamdani: "My message to ICE agents & to everyone across this city is that everyone will be held to the same standard of the law. If you violate the law, you must be held accountable. There is sadly a sense that is growing across this country that certain people are allowed to violate that law, whether they be the president or whether they be the agents themselves. And what New Yorkers are looking for is an era of consistency, an era of clarity, an era of conviction."

ICE detain father in unmarked white van—then drive off in his car—with his toddler still in back car seat.

One agent threw volleyball into back seat—it bounced hitting the toddler in head.

"There's a baby in there!" people cry. "They covered up his face! That's child abuse!"

Witnesses say agents "breached" the private property—physically removing the chains off the gate and throwing them to the ground.

About 20 to 50 agents and 10 unmarked vehicles raided the Home Depot in the Cypress Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.

Mikey hates everything, but then he tries Life cereal and likes it, meaning that Life cereal tastes good. It was very effective; it ran for 12 years.

True, but that must also mean they knew he was going to like it, otherwise why give it to him if he hates everything.

What were they expecting him to do? Not eat it?

Still doesn't make any sense to me, but I'll stop here.

I don't want to turn this into another "merged" thread.

ICE arrest preschool teacher—drag her out of class in front of "traumatized" children.

Agents slam her face-first into the outer glass door as they push her outside—then shove her against their vehicle.

School was forced to close—as both teachers and parents became too afraid to show up at the location.

The teacher has a legal work permit and passed a background check in order to teach at the Spanish immersion preschool and daycare—according to witness interviews.

"We wanted to give our children the gift of speaking another language," said one parent.

"It’s just such a welcoming and sunny and happy place. The teachers are encouraged to share their culture and traditions with the children."

The incident occurred at Rayito de Sol preschool and daycare in the Roscoe Village neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois

Well it sure sounds like these kids got a vivid and immersive introduction to the culture of Hispanic-looking people being roughed up, dragged away and driven off in an unmarked van.

ICE lock up U.S. citizen in leg chains for 7 hours—for taking pictures.

"They surrounded car and pointed guns at me," she said.

"I was scared they were impersonating... maybe I was getting kidnapped?"

When she asked to call lawyer—they told her "all the land lines are down."

"They chained my legs up and they put me in a cell for seven hours... I refused to answer any questions."

ICE issued a statement claiming that she was driving reckless "over a curb" and "coordinating with another vehicle."

Berenice Garcia-Hernandez was eventually fingerprinted, booked, and released—but both her phone and engagement ring are still confiscated as evidence.

The incident occurred near a Chick-fil-A parking lot in Gresham, Oregon

My kids went to am elementary school just down the block that's become a Spanish Academy; my youngest did her last two years in a Spanish language immersion program. I am quite surprised there haven't been masked cowards there . . . yet.
