Probably. I'm convinced Comey helped Trump more than hurt him. The details get very in the weeds, but he certainly didn't do Clinton any favors. As FBI director he also had to look for Russian meddling. But I don't think he was that involved in later "Mueller Report" stages.

Apparently Trump thinks any concerns about Russian interference HAVE to be aimed against him - he can't comprehend Russia being investigated, unless he's the star of the show.

He's a thin-skinned, vindictive, wannabe dictator who can't take criticism and seeks retribution on anyone whom he perceives is his political enemy, which is everyone who is not in full-throated worship of the ground on which he walks. Or aimlessly shuffles, as the case may be.

To be re-hired he'd have to be fired in the first place, the article says that he's "relieved of current duties as we conduct a full investigation". So more likely he's been suspended until they investigate themselves, find there was no wrongdoing and then ordered to stay at his desk until it blows over.

Criminal investigation launched after feds fire pepper ball at CBS Chicago reporter's truck​

The Village of Broadview said they've launched a criminal investigation after a CBS News Chicago reporter had a projectile fired at her vehicle by an ICE agent late Sunday morning.

Reporter Asal Rezaei said there was no active protest or protesters at the facility, and she was alone with no one around her at the time of the incident.

In a report filed with Broadview police, Rezaei said she was driving her truck with her driver's side window down, while approaching the 25th Avenue entrance to see if any activity was taking place, before leaving the area.

That's when she said a masked ICE agent, who saw her window down, shot a pepper ball about 50 feet from the inside of the fence, hitting her truck's driver's side panel, causing the chemical agents to engulf the inside of her truck.

Note that she was lucky he was a bad shot. He was clearly aiming for her face.

ETA: And how do they know he was an ICE agent? Was he wearing clear identification? A uniform? A numbered badge? Or was he just a heavily armed masked thug? In which case, ANTIFA!

I was wondering how careful they have to be to not compromise the case. People usually paint messages on shells and bombs.
