It was my birthday. I was fishing and my super conservative friend came and fished with me for half an hour. I didn't say a word about it. The fish and I had a great day together.

That's actually kind of cool that the two of you could just fish and not get into it. Or was he ranting?

Yeah, life sucks sometimes. It was a difficult week to say the least. First they told us he had an abdominal aneurysm, which he did. But that's when they found the cancer, too.

Get your PSA checked, guys. They don't do it as a matter of course any longer like they used to and like we thought was being done. You have to ask for it to be done now.

We got an email from one of my husband's friends just today. He thanked my husband and told him he probably saved his life. He got his PSA checked and found out he has prostate cancer but it was early stage and hadn't spread yet so it's curable. He's turning 50 next week.

Sad to hear about your husband. Best wishes and hope things turn out well.
 
Thanks, all. He's doing very well on treatment and you'd never know he has stage 4 cancer right now. In fact, he's outside building a new deck right now. But like I said, get a simple blood test, guys. Most men will get prostate cancer if they live past 50 but caught early, it's very curable.

I just turned 52 and have been putting off regular yearly checkups, including a colonoscopy and a PSA check. You've inspired me and I just made an appointment.

It must have really upset Dershowitz when Trump told Hilary that he'd go after her, appointing a special prosecutor and all, and that she'd be in jail when he was elected.

Trump didn't have time to fulfill that campaign promise. He was too busy getting Mexico to pay for his wall and providing that incredibly cheap but fantastic health insurance plan we're all enjoying!

No ranting. And we used to think a lot alike politically up until a couple years ago. I can't remember if he knew how much I hated Trump by that point. I think so, but he'd be shocked with some of the changes in attitude I have.

We've been friends around 40 years, since jr high/middle school. He is super opinionated. I just avoid politics with him for now. And I haven't seen him since, so...hmmm.

People with different ideals have always been able to discuss politics, at least to some degree, until now.
