Maddow has a hypothesis that if GOP Senators just don't show up at the impeachment trial, 2/3rd vote of Senators on the floor could have Trump removed. It probably won't happen, but I can still hope.

It would be an ideal metaphor for the spine of most GOP senators

Well at least one GOP Senator would have to show up. A quorum of 51 Senators is required to conduct business.
 
New footage of the insurrection showing a Capitol Policeman being beaten by Trump supprotes. One of them uses a Trump Banner to beat the cop with.
Donnie and his followers love the police....

BTW today Donnie finally lowered the White House Flag in honor of the policeman who was killed on Wendesday. He sitll has not called the guy's family. (though both Biden and Pence have).

While I was writing this, with CNN one, I just heard a reproter aks a congressman why it took Trump so long to lower the llag and he nailed it in one sentence.

It's pathetic that it's days later and we're still "tracking these guys down."

None of them should have been allowed to leave the scene. All the ones who passed the Capitol threshold should have been arrested on the spot.

Any links to this one? I certainly believe it to be likely, knowing the nature of some in that crowd, but the only photos I've seen with this are from a Proud Boy at a different event days earlier.

Something tells me there will be pressure on Trump to divest himself of some of his iconic golf properties. Trump owns Doral which has been a regular stop on the PGA Tour and Turnberry which is also on the rota of British Open venues.
