Trump's Coup d'état.

There's another step or two in there about Trump believing he could thwart mail-in ballots by installing Dejoy as postmaster who immediately tried to slow down the mail system.

Getting 38 Biden electors to not only not vote for Biden, but to vote for Trump seems like a bit of a longshot.

SCOTUS ruined Trump's Christmas party. He was scheduled to appear and make remarks at the White House Christmas party. It was announced he would be a no-show. Apparently he is afraid to say "Merry Christmas."

You would cry too if it happened to you.

Well, he's probably afraid that Biden will retroactively ban syaing "Merry Christmas".

On the day after the election in 2016, the gay son of one of HRC's family friends was having an adoption party for him and his partner. Hillary couldn't make it, but she called him up to congratulate them and express her regrets for not being able to attend.

That was the day after losing the presidential election, and she still cared enough about a friend to call them to congratulation their gay son on the adoption of a baby. She didn't go to her room and pout.

For all of her serious faults, Clinton is an actual human being. Trump is a caricature of the worst humanity has to offer. That's the type of "leader" his cult worships.

Hmm, I heard that Biden sent Trump a card wishing him a Merry Christmas. Also included in the card was SCOTUS's decision.

And it's 58-1.

In Federal Court in Wisconsin, judge Ludwig, a Trump appointee, has dismissed with prejudice, on the merits, the Trump campaign's attempt to overturn Wisconsin's election.

Judge Brett Ludwig concludes his ruling dismissing Trump lawsuit with prejudice with this:

"This Court has allowed (Trump) the chance to make his case and he has lost on the merits. In his reply
brief, (Trump) “'asks that the Rule of Law be followed.'” It has been."

Why do Trump's judicial appointees keep betraying him?

Where's the loyalty??

What's the point of appointing a judge if they ain't gonna come through for ya when you need it most?

It's almost certainly going to be 59-1 by the end of the day as the Wisconsin State Supreme Court is hearing (why?) a case right now. It's not going well for the Trumpalo. The judges are eviscerating him and his arguments. The lawyer presented Facebook posts as evidence.

I think it's true that for Trump, his interactions with others are zero-sum and transactional. He really does seem to believe that all the judges he appointed owe him, and that they betrayed him when they followed the law.

Yep.

WI Supreme Court Justice @judgekarofsky isn’t holding back with Trump attorney Jim Troupis: “You want us to overturn our election so your king can stay in power, and that is so un-American.”

The dam has broken, at last. Over on OAN and Breitbart, the comment sections are awash in MAGAt tears!*

*which are, of course, the BEST tears!

So is Thomas saying that it should have been brought before the court, but the end result would have been the same?

My non-lawyer interpretation is that Alito and Thomas are saying that the court should hear the case but that the odds of it succeeding are too small to merit issuing any injunctions to halt anything (e.g., the Electoral College vote).
