OK, if you want to maintain sanity, do not read any threads on the Nevada or Michigan GOP "electors."

These people are ******* insane.

As I've said many times, they live in an alternate reality.

Is there a specified order of voting? What needs sped up for California to jump the queue?

Insane theatrics.

Another performance: the Texas electors vote 34-4 to call on Legislatures in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin to appoint their own electors.

It's not only Trump.

Rats jumping sinking Coup d'état ship: "Senate Majority Whip John Thune says just now Biden will be President-elect once he crosses 270 electoral college votes and efforts to challenge the result at joint session in Congress is “not going anywhere.”"

Does the man have no clue that since the Democratic candidate won, the electors were chosen by the Democratic Party?

Thank goodness that is the norm or we would have a worse mess on our hands.

ETA: Georgia's electors have called it for Biden.

I wonder if the Republican slate of electors was meeting in a hotel or a parking lot.

The parking lot of Electoral College Total Landscaping, no doubt.

It appears the Trumpy coup is starting to drag on a bit. It's been, what..., four weeks now? And yet Donny is being shoved further and further away from his stated goal.

Usually coups are over in a day or so, and the new beloved dictator-for-life wades victoriously through rivers of vanquished blood to sit on the Throne of skulls by nightfall or whatever. With Donny...he's sitting on his fat ass and flicking between OANN and whatever crap movie he is watching instead of being an actual president.

So where is this coup?

It flew the coup.

Wow, that's a gutsy move. Voting to call on states to appoint their own electors about two hours after they voted and certified. Unless they meant the top secret Shadow Electoral College (not to be confused with that other SEC).

Not surprising, given how the Party that won the state picks the electors.

It's not surprising and it is surprising. With a count of 306 to 232 you would normally expect there to be some.

The faithless electors in the past weren't really trying to flip the election, but make some kind of political statement.

No room for that this year.
