Trump - One Term or Two

Congratulations, you now feel the same way that some of the Republicans did when Obama won his 2008 election. You also now know the feelings of those whom were called the party of "no" when they felt they could not follow Obama. No complaints when the criticisms are turned upon those who think this way now.

Except that, as has been pointed out numerous times now, the objections to Obama were not based on any stated policy of his but on fabrications, while those to Trump are based on what he actually stated he would do, and what his allies in the GOP have been trying to do.

It's simply not comparable.

"As an American you have the freedom to live as you like as long as you don't hurt anyone or break the law."

Folks who are coming into the US should be checked out a bit. And so? If you invite someone into your home, chances are you're gonna want to know who they are...
Right, because it's not like they're "checked out a bit" now.

.....Common sense isn't so common anymore it would seem. Chris B.
Apparently irony is nice and healthy.

Uh no, that's too thin, considering the "Biden rule" , an outgoing President should not appoint a Justice to the Supreme Court. For some reason Liberals seem to forget "their own" rules when the situation is reversed. Fair is fair however.

Swiftly doth the goalposts scamper.

First of all, it's not clear that Trump would run again - I don't see him do that.

next, plenty of Republicans have as their full-time job fund-raising and running for office. Even if Trump should utterly unexpectedly do a decent job as president, there will be a number of candidates in the wings who will try to beat him in the nomination. As Trump will undoubtedly have made even more enemies amongst Republicans, he might find a well-connected and sponsored opponent. This will split the GOP vote and probably assure a Democrat victory.

The way Trump is running his transition is convincing me to think that Trump will resign before the first term is over. If not, he'll be impeached.

The leaks about the knife fights are amusing. It would be good to see the administration tear itself apart before the inauguration.

Put me down for two terms. I've been utterly wrong on every prediction so far, other than "Clinton is a terrible choice because the RNC hates her so much." So, I'll predict two terms for Trump.

I've been predicting a two-term Republican president would be elected once the economy was out of the toilet since halfway through '08, but I was predicting a decent politician would climb out of the clown car not the biggest assclown ever. My previous predictions were based on faulty assumptions about the GOP's control of the GOP.
