Trump Memecoin?

I never expected that I would be giving props to Kanye West, but I will give him credit for exposing this proposed scam. It is right at the beginning of the video.

There's nothing new there, we know all about the scam, it's a standard way of doing it.

I would like to know who the people scammed generally blame.
themselves?
the scammer?
the prominent cheerleaders who ought to have known better or were in on the scam?
the State for not protecting them against their own gullibility ?

I guess it's not option 1

It's never option 1.
Heh! It will inevitably be "the State" for not protecting them from being stupid.

Given the spate of departmental shutdowns in the last month, there's no better response than to point at Musk and Trump and say "Well, you had State protection before, but your choice of president and his ancient orange slobber-hound took that away from you. So too bad, how sad."

The article is a bit of a hatchet job, but it prompted me to see how much this meme coin is trading for these days:

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/official-trump

$12.97 is the current price, although I believe that fees apply any time it is traded. The highest number on the history chart was $44.28 on Jan. 22, and the lowest was $7.54 on April 18th. I don't know why it is trading higher now.
