Trump invades Pittsburgh.

Bigotry is when you tell them to stay out of a city. That is the behavior of Nazis. It's bigotry and it has no place - even when the bigotry comes from Jewish leaders who are mourning.

That's not what bigotry is.

Being a big one sided aren’t you? The Jewish leaders didn’t, out of the blue, decide to tell tell trump not to come to their city. They stated they held his incendiary rhetoric a contributory factor towards the attack.

What a load of utter horse-cock.

They were trying to mourn their losses and bury their dead. They did not want Trump (whose racist and and provocative rhetoric incited his fanatic supporter to murder their loved ones) to be around while they were doing so.

Not surprised that in a conservative mind, bigotry is "being standoffish towards someone when you disagree with their behavior" and none of that stuff about it being based on immutable qualities.

No, not really. It's Nazi behavior to invade cities, but maybe you never heard of WW2 ...

Uhhh... no. Just no.

Bigotry is when you treat an entire group of individuals (a race/religion/gender/etc.) as somehow different/inferior, based on nothing but their membership in that group (often something they do not have any control over).

People who say they do not want Trump in the city are doing so not because of Trump's membership in some social or ethnic group, but because of actions that he has taken as an individual (for being divisive in his speeches, for his targeting of the media and immigrants.) So no, it is not bigotry to say "Trump stay away".

It is bigotry if I say "I don't want to associate with black people". It is not bigotry if I say "I don't want to associate with Bill Cosby", because I can point to specific actions that he has done as an individual that would make me less interested in associating with him.

He kept quiet about the "bomb" atttacks...
Uhhh... no he didn't. He made several statements (both on twitter and in the media.)
and people complained that he wasn't taking the stage to Say Something.
They weren't complaining because he didn't "say something". They were complaining because what he said was tone deaf, self serving and counter productive.

After CNN was targeted by a lunatic Trump supporter, he went on the offensive and continued to complain about how bad the media was.
