Troofers Now Faking Evidence

Most of us who participate in these forums regard the twoofers with undisguised contempt. How could such fools pose a serious threat? (How could beer-swilling brawlers have hideously disfigured the culture that produced Goethe and Beethoven?) They are so staggeringly ignorant, so mouth-breathing, drooling-moron obtuse, so granite-skulled impervious to reason: they are, in a word, barbarians. Except, they lack a barbarian's curiosity about more advanced cultures. I'm reminded of the words of Hilaire Belloc: "We sit by and watch the Barbarian, we tolerate him; in the long stretches of peace we are not afraid. We are tickled by his irreverence, his comic inversion of our old certitudes and our fixed creeds refreshes us; we laugh. But as we laugh we are watched by large and awful faces from beyond; and on these faces there is no smile."

Nominated! A well-written call to arms against the barbarians in our midst! I've felt the same way for quite some time.

I'm reminded of a quote from the Screw Loose Change NFA Edition:

"It's been nearly 5 years since the attack. Has any conspiracy theorist, anywhere, turned up a single piece of evidence that implicates any individual not already named in the 'official' version?"

It seems as though they may be responding to this... by inventing some.

One of the clearest examples of fakery is the defense of Dylan and Co.

The creator, like most CT pseudo personalities, was too stupid and gave away the real reason for the e-mail. He was tired of people bashing Dylan, Jason, and Korey! The creator, being very stupid, views other people as equally stupid at best because he views himself as intelligent. He wanted Mark and other debunkers to attack the 'man' as an EMT and get caught up in the minutiae of the e-mail. Even though Mark and almost everyone else sees the letter as clearly fake, Dylan and crew are whining about nonexistent attacks on the 'EMT'. They are so monumentally stupid that they cannot change their plan of attack when their opponents fail to fall for their traps.

In CT circles, it is common to accept most of what the person is saying and argue that it is being misinterpreted. Dylan wanted everyone to acknowledge that the guy was an EMT and criticize him as a liar or crazy. As Dylan and his followers show no respect for the victims and first responders, Dylan wanted an excuse to accuse the debunkers of being heartless. This is the sum total of his game.

"9/11 Truthism": an illness like alcoholism?

Thanks, TAM. I have to confess that I no longer take pleasure in jousting with the loons. I fervently hope that I'm wrong, but something tells me that they're making progress.

I do not think they are making progress. I have come to believe there is an inverse relationship between the amount of publicity the 9/11 Truth Movement gets and its credibility in the real world. The more it gets MSM publicity, the more it gets whacked as a lunatic, fringe movement, marginalizing itself politically and socially, IMO.

The 9/11 Truth Movement has become increasingly fractious, splintered, and wrapped up in its own cocoon of denial and self-importance. It never had any evidence to back up its assertions to begin with and desperately looks for something new to "explain" its charge that 9/11 was an inside job. It's to the point where infighting over which explanation is "right" is nothing more than amusing. Everything it has offered for the last 5 years has been beaten to death. It has become boring to engage its members.

I am coming to think of the 9/11 Truth Movement as suffering from a disease like alcoholism, or a pathological condition like malignant narcissism, which I'm calling "9/11 Truthism." In the future, I think it will be studied and analyzed more in psychological circles and described in medical journals more so than in historical ones. I may be wrong, but the 9/11 Truth Movement is so bizarre and out of touch with reality that's the way it appears to me at this point.

Exactly. I knew immediately when I saw the email posted on Dylan's blog that this was not meant to private letter to me. It was a publicity stunt to get people going. In a sense, it's much like a false flag operation (again, 9/11 deniers are oblivious to this). The 9/11 Denier leaders needed a new problem for their followers to rally behind, so they have to create a fake problem by saying that this EMT supports their story and we are oppressing him.

And they use any first responder who is suffering as human shields for their cause. They think if we attack Dylan, we are also attacking the first responders who believe 9/11 was an inside job. Instead of trying to prove to us that their theory is correct using science, they are trying to play the emotional card to dehumanize us. Funny Dylan, you didn't talk about any fire responders having problems with their lungs or the EPA in any of your 500 editions of Loose Change. Why the sudden change of heart (assuming you have one) ?

However, I would like to remind Dylan that we are not the ones laughing at the idea of using box cutters, mock Mark Bingham's last words, think "Let's roll" is fake, accuse Fire Fighters of being paid off, or Bernard Brown Senior sent his son to die. We are also not the ones making a living and trying to sell off our "soundtrack" based on 9/11.

"9/11 Truthism" isn't anything new. The psychological disorders that give birth to 9/11 conspiracies are the same that give birth to other conspiracy theories, it seems.

I was curious about this part.

In case you are wondering, no. I'm not going to give you my full name or what city I worked for. I had enough trouble having it dragged through local newspapers for two years. I don't want to lose another job. I don't want you unfoundedly slandering my name all over the net like you do with Dylan, Jason, and whoever else offers a point of view other than yours.

So I did a Lexi/Nexis search of all New Jersey newspapers for the past 5 years (although he only says 2), for all instances of "Emt" "Ems" or "Emergency Medical Technician". This is not 100% of course, but I could not find any cases of anyone fitting his discription being "dragged through local papers for two years". In fact the only negative article I could find being run regarding an EMT was this guy:

SECTION: State and Regional

LENGTH: 248 words

HEADLINE: EMT accused of sexual contact with patient

DATELINE: SOMERVILLE, N.J.

BODY:
An ambulance crew member has been charged with having criminal sexual contact with a woman who was strapped to a stretcher.

The incident happened Nov. 7 while the 19-year-old from Linwood was being transported from a medical facility in Atlantic County to Somerset County, authorities said.

Brian Schaal, an emergency medical technician, was arrested Thursday night on a charge of aggravated criminal sexual contact, Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne J. Forrest said. The third-degree offense carries three to five years in prison.

Schaal, 37, of Pleasantville, made the $10,000 bail Friday morning and was released from the Somerset County Jail.

The woman complained to authorities soon after the incident, but it took investigators several weeks to determine which ambulance service and person was involved, Forrest said.

Schaal is accused of exposing himself and masturbating while with the woman, Forrest said.

Schaal was suspended without pay from Monoc EMS Friday after the company learned of the charge, said John DeFillippo, a spokesman for the Eatontown-based company.

Monoc hired Schaal in June and had no problems with him before the arrest, he said.

If Schaal pleads guilty or is found guilty he will be fired, DeFillippo said.

A message left at the only phone listing for a Schaal in Pleasantville was not immediately returned Friday.

Am I correct to assume that there still hasn't been any idenfication of this new CT witness - we just have to take Averys word for it?

Cheers,
SLOB

"Mike, 30, NJ".

Thats it.

Ah, well, I wonder what alternative holds the truth:

1. Truthers really think that to use a "witness" as evidence, you just need "someone stating X".

2. Truthers are desperate and are making things up.

3. Truthers have been had by someone calling himself "Mike, 30, NJ".

and I guess I should, for good measure, add:

4. Truthers have, six years after the event, found a new witness that is telling the truth and will soon come forth with name and identification.

Were's your money people?

Cheers,
SLOB

Well, I havent decided if I should put my money on (2) or on (3) yet. Im leaning towards (3), because thats more fun, but I've learned not to underestimate the cunningness of a truther. They always have a cunning plan.

I guess I'd put a turnip on (3).
