Too much focus on definitions?

Since I wrote the OP, I can safely say you misunderstood it. Nowhere did I say "except" on skeptic sites.

I basically said I've seen an over-emphasis on the importance of definitions shown on skeptic movement bulletin boards.

Me saying I've seen such things is not an extraordinary claim in the slightest.

Ok, but aren't you arguing that it's a bad thing? I'm so confused. Everytime someone has asked you a question to try and get you to expand, you've hounded some triviality and then completely ignored the point. I thought you were supposed to be arguing your case, not just wasting everyone's time.

What do you mean?

This was explained in the OP.

It's like you have a special vision that filters out the relevant information of a discussion. I'll have to slink back into the shadows and hope someone more qualified than me can get something out of this. Or hope that someone shows me why I'm actually the dummy here, and tells me why. I'm just confused is all.

He does the exact same thing in this thread and in this thread.

All current ones, mind you, in which he tries very hard not to say what he means. When people get frustrated and ask him, repeatedly, he tries to describe it as if people would rather discuss persons (him) than the issues.

Can anyone spell "PATTERN"?

Hey, that's one of my old avatars!! :) That's the one that people didn't like because it's a sad doggy (made Eos protest and freaked out Kevin_Lowe - quite right too!). :( They're beautiful Chinese hunting dogs but very fragile and that one got burnt. Apparently was a regular winner of the 'most ugly dog ever' award.

Sorry to say, Sam is an ex cat, er, dog. But here's a link to his better days...
