Dissent or even disgust at the teachings, practices, or actions of a group of people is far from prejudice (In fact it's funny that you would find skeptics as prejudice since our underlying war-cry is: SHOW ME THE PROOF! Passing premature judgement is one of the things that we are least likely to do).

My animosity lies with Herr Ratzinger for his ridiculous claims concerning homosexuality, world peace, the AIDS epidemic, and the pedophilic terrorist group known as the the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

I have no animosity for the rank-and-file Roman Catholics, only pity.

It also is "interesting" that of the potential candidates to replace the former salesman for the Solvay Chemical (single product for sale was Zyklon-B) division of IG Farben, Karol Wojtyla, 117 cardinal electors at the 2005 conclave, the only one to have ever been a member of Hitler Youth was chosen....Who knew?

You must really like this excerpt from a letter of Thomas Jefferson because you quote (and more frequently misquote) it in many of your posts.

It doesn't mean what you claim it means.

Read the entire letter. Put all your twisted conspiracy theories aside for a bit, and try to actually understand something in its full context. You might also want to explore Jefferson's views on religions and his own version of Christianity to better understand the perspective expressed in his letter to Samuel Kercheval.

(By the way, his name was Samuel Kercheval, not Samuel Kercheval Monticello. A blind copy/paste is no substitute for a little reading comprehension.)

What has the latter to do with the former? All Blair has to do to ensure his ticket to heaven is confess his sins to a priest who can then grant him absolution. That is a private matter between him and his confessor and nothing to do with anyone else, not least because it should be obvious by now that he doesn't care what you think about the matter.

... for me, the most annoying thing about the whole episode is that it was top story on the Radio 4 news for some hours, and it hardly seemed worth a footnote to me. Although I concede that I wasn't considering the NI aspect, but still.
