Todd Starnes - God Less America

[UnrepentantSinner]

Lying Todd Starnes has taken a series of commentaries based on anecdotes and manufactured outrages and cobbled together a book about The Culture War^TM. It has to be good - it's endorsed by Family Research Council president Tony Perkins and Gen. Jerry Boykin.

Released earlier this week, "God Less America" is a blend of satire and real life events written by Starnes. Each chapter focuses on a certain topic, with titles like "Chick-fil-A: The Gospel Bird," "Macy's Kinky Thanksgiving Day Parade," "No Gideons Allowed," and "So Absurd It Could Be True: The Gospel According to Barack Obama."

A couple of Amazon reviews are of the "Hutzler banana slicer" variety and quite funny.

For God's sake, fundies, stop making this image appropriate, or you leave me no choice but to whip it out.

I wish I could start threads that would get more than single or double digit responses.

Before we get into this again over the image I used, I would like to repost the following links. If you look at the actual proportion of Christians who hold power in the United States government, the percentages are slightly higher than the chart suggests.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Members_of_the_111th_United_States_Congress#Religious_demographics

And 78% of the US population is Christian.

So apparently, people like Todd Starnes consider "persecution" to be anything less than complete and total Christian domination over the nation and its culture.
