Poughkeepsie, New York

Poughkeepsie was lit this night.

9:53 on Cannon Street – shots fired in a parking lot, numerous spent cartridges found along with a car that was struck multiple times.

10:20, 1 mile away from previous incident, male found with a stab wound.

11:55 back to Cannon Street – police respond to shots fired. Upon arrival they see a driver strike a parked car. He flees, they chase, he crashes, he runs, they arrest his passenger and recover two handguns.

1:00 back to Cannon Street, this time to da club for a shots fired report. Law enforcement was met by a hostile crowd who threw rocks and bottles at them.

Police heard more shots fired as a tour bus was leaving da club. A few minutes later the tour bus showed up at the hospital to drop three people off who had been shot on the bus.

2:34 – More shots were reported. Police find numerous shell casings that were fired at the bus after it left the hospital. The bus then turned around to drop two more people off who had been shot.

Pape said detectives were getting little cooperation from the victims or other witnesses at the various shooting scenes.

Darzil, Darville, Dwayne, Jayvon and an unnamed 14-year-old were the victims of a multi-shooter ambush style attack.

According to Champagne, police have received very little information regarding the incident.

Champagne says they are dealing with an "interparish group" of individuals who are engaged in a cycle of violence and retaliation that has been going on for months involving St. James and St. John parishes.

Champagne said, "Make the call. Call Crimestoppers. Identify somebody before it's your child that gets shot."

He added, "I don't think this is the last one (shooting). I'm confident it's not the last one."

Drive-by.

All six victims were students who were on lunch break. They were sitting at a park adjacent to their high school when two vehicles rolled by with people firing out of the windows. 30 to 50 shots were fired.

Judging by the photos, the vehicles weren't there to roll coal or on their way to or from a Trump rally.

There is a history of violence occurring at the park. Three aggravated assaults, including one with a firearm, this year. Three gun related aggravated assaults directly across the street and a gang-related shooting in 2019.

This is not to be considered a DVE situation, no school board members had their feelings hurt by angry parents.


Manhattan, New York

The victims were standing in front of a bodega.

Police are searching for a gun man.


Houma, Louisiana

4 wounded.

Private party.

Hispanic male and black male arrested.

Newburgh, New York

4 wounded. All four were high school aged.

ShotSpotter alerted police. The shooting happened near a Newburgh Free Academy, all Newburgh Academy's campuses will be shut down for the remainder of the week in hopes of stemming any retaliatory violence.
