Switzerland requires people to have a whole rifle which is obviously a step in the right direction; but it's only until they're 30 years old, and they're not allowed to ever buy ammunition for it except for at practice ranges for immediate use and they're not allowed to take any home, which is of course pansy-ass commie socialist liberal fascist maoist nazi antifa black-lives-matter BS. In America, we know that the whole point of owning a firearm is to be able to defend yourself, heroically stop mass shooters and sign-carrying protesters in other cities, and kill police officers in the name of freedom when the government becomes too tyrannical just like the Constitution says.

It's a simple matter of American fact that an armed society is a polite society. If guns were legal in Chicago instead of banned by the communist city leaders, not only would those 10 people and indeed the entire crowd have been able to defend themselves and heroically shoot back, but an argument literally would never have even started.

Considering what pops up when I search "Kinsman neighborhood and Buckeye Road shooting", Imma guess this is not one of the "more notables spree shootings" I'm supposed to focus on.

6 mass shootings, 7 dead, 41 injured so far this weekend. Best I can tell not a single one had a DVE on the trigger.

Cleveland? More like Commieland. When Trump is reinstalled as president this August, the very first order of business should be to get back to suing Democommunistic Party-run cities like Cleveland that discourage the proliferation of guns. Only a fool would dispute that if every single person - man, woman, and child all - who lived in the vicinity Buckeye Road and East 89th Street was packing raw American freedom-insurance (i.e. firearms of some sort), nobody would have dared to shoot at anyone there.

Agreed. The city of Winston-Salem should shut down all police precincts immediately, and open gun stores in their former locations. They can use the budget previously allocated for police to subsidize citizens' gun purchases, ensuring that every single resident of Winston-Salem can be armed and protected. Only then can they join the ranks of properly-equipped true Americans and bring the epidemic of criminal mass-shootings to an end.
 
Here's an interesting twist from the White Center mass shooting linked earlier in the thread. One of the shooting victim's name is Horace Anderson, he is the father of Lorenzo Anderson. Few of you will remember that Lorenzo Anderson was a victim of black-on-black murder in Seattle's insurrection zone, a.k.a. CHAZ.

Lorenzo Anderson's uncle was also shot and is in critical condition. Witnesses reported hearing over 100 shots fired.

I would call myself a gun control advocate, but I would be perfectly happy with Swiss style gun regulation.


I think the worst thing about the situation in the US is not the ownership of guns, but the ability to legally carry them in daily life. The liberalization of concealed and/or open carry permits in the last few decades strikes me as insane.

Why? It will prevent arguments from escalating. The past few weeks here in Southern California, we've witnessed a steep decline in obscene gestures.

Exactly!

For example, this could have developed into a road-rage situation or even a mass shooting. But because the hero was carrying a gun, the road encounter never escalated into an argument. The proof is out there, commie libs and black lives matter (which are the same thing) just refuse to see it.

To me the answer to the question above is a no-brainer: “Of course.” If someone who did a crime is on the loose, then anything that might help apprehend him (most criminals are men) could be useful. That includes height, weight, presence of glasses, facial hair, clothing, and ethnicity. In fact, of all of these identifiers, ethnicity is the hardest to change if you’re fleeing the cops.

In fact, in this case the newspaper at issue refused to report any identifying information (though clearly race was the hot button) even though the cops already had. And they explained that they left out the information because it might “reinforce stereotypes.” Right then and there you know the criminal is black or Hisptanic.
