Today's Mass Shooting

At least 8 dead and no mention of the number of injured which is said to include a cop. Shooter is reported to be a student and a second person is also reported to be in custody. Cops are now sweeping the campus looking for possible explosives.
 
Just another day in the life of the USA.


Wasn't this the same school that was involved in the Supreme Court case about prayer at high school football games? Obviously, the problem is not too many guns, it's not enough Jesus.
 
KHOU: By 11 a.m. authorities were at another scene, about two miles from the school, where authorities say they were investigating the possibility of explosive devices inside a mobile home.

(That's probably where he lives.)

Do you see anything wrong with this assumption? How many times would Marjory Stoneman Douglas have been shot up if not for the officer on campus? Fake skeptics only count the ONE time there was a mass shooting.

How many shootings have there been at universities in Texas where students are allowed to carry? As far as I know, NONE. So far.

Is [sic] bet their existence has prevented many mass shootings at police stations however.

Not at all. Like cops in movies, in Texas there are a lot of good guys who don't play by the rules. Schools are knife-free zones. You wanna bet students don't have them? You just never hear about all the good guys with guns because we keep 'em on the DL.

Daily Mail: The 17 year old gunman burst into an art class and yelled "Surprise!" He had an assault style rifle, a shotgun and a pistol. Explosives planted as well.
 
I'm not seeing any reports on the other detained student being released, so they may be a legitimate accomplice.
 
CNN says 10 are dead. Pipe and pressure cooker bombs found. The other guy is apparently an accomplice.
 
Ten dead in a school shooting and it does not warrant its own thread, it is just today's mass shooting.

It does get kind of predictable, doesn't it?

Same old stuff. A bunch of dead kids. An assault rifle, funerals, press conferences. In my youth we didn't have tweets, but now, tweets.

It's kind of tedious, really. It's always the same.

It is a way to cope. Learning to cope and putting such shootings into perspective, it is highly unlikely a school kid will be shot whilst at school compared to other causes of juvenile deaths is the way forward.
