Cont: Today's Mass Shooting (part 3)

Murdered persons ghost 1 - "What kind of murdered were you?"
Murdered persons ghost 2 - "By a person from my own social group. I happened to be within a short distance of a fight that went badly South. You?"
Murdered persons ghost 1 - "Killed by some random dude with a grudge. I was just out shopping, nowhere near a fight or any such thing."
Murdered persons ghost 2 - "OMG! I'm so sorry for you, that must have been awful!
Murdered persons ghost 1 - "WTF are you talking about? You're just as murdered as I am. Murdered by some ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ with a gun is murdered by an ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ with a gun."
Murdered persons ghost 2 - "My friend, you'd be surprised how much it matters to the unmurdered. Murder is a very nuanced thing for them."

I do hear the phrase, "Lets not research why\how people were murdered\killed because it doesn't make any difference. It's not like it matters after they're dead" in all of the critical thinkers\skeptics forums that I visit. No one wants to know the reasons so that they can be studied and possible solutions found.

Nope, bluesjnr hit it on the head, "Well, we're dead. Doesn't matter how we got there, no reason to look into it any further. Also, people don't have agendas when they post things and since I didn't see it in this specific thread then I have to assume everything happens in a vacuum. Top notch skepticism!"

For ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ dumb.

Why stop at unconcern about the groups? Who cares about identifying the *individuals* who committed the murder! For that matter, who cares about even figuring out whether a death was a homicide. The decedent is still just as dead!

The same asinine points you raise above apply just as much to that.

I was going for exactly the opposite reaction than this believe it or not. Oh well, one can't win them all and I have to take responsibility for not getting my, "message", across.

I wasn't capable of making it clear enough in my smarty pants post that one vital correlation transcending colour, race, gender or motivation is present between mpg1 and mpg2. That correlation doesn't matter to how they, "got there", it points to what, "sent them there".

Sure, anger, jealousy, racism, madness, terroristic tendencies, anti govt. malice and a host of other things may be the boil over point but the fact that USians live in a country that while increasingly looking like a lunatic asylum, won't get a decent grip on gun control is central to the "mass shooting" problem you have.

As a renowned, nit picky, pointless chastiser myself, I find it strange how many of the posters come here to do just that because they don't like the way the mirror is being held up to their failing society.

Stopping at concern about the groups and identifying the means, liberally and largely unchecked, these groups gain access to them and utilise the ridiculous proliferation of them might be a good place to restart.

Just to address this particular jibe. It's not particularly unsceptical not to be aware of a lone posters output in a backwater thread where citations to other posts in other threads aren't something one can refer to.

I don't follow bogative across multiple threads and that's it.

You, on the other hand, I do see a lot in other threads and I have been able to form a full and complete opinion of you. So, you have point, I suppose.

Why can't, or shouldn't, we do both?

Then bringing it up wasn't really relevant in your post, was it?

I don't "follow" anyone, anywhere. I post in threads that interest me.

Neat.

It would be impossible for this comment to be related to anything I say or have said. I repeatedly, in every thread I participate in, point out the problems with the United States. I specifically, repeatedly, have been outspoken about our gun problem. I am a firm believer of rewriting the 2nd Amendment. I don't allow guns in my house and I've never even shot one in my (soon to be) 45 years of existence. I've commented on the failures of the US to provide for it's people, I've complained about our bloated military budget, and I'm a veritable megaphone of criticism against our current administrations foreign policy. Your milquetoast critique of the US isn't even on the same playing field as mine.

A minor correction.

Discussion and research into why murders are being committed, is not allowed, because it may lead to the cause being America's extremely lax laws* about gun ownership being called into question.

* (and policing of those laws.)

Ok, noted. It's just bogative and how he presents the data in this specific thread that has you gnashing your teeth then.

No, that's not it. I "gnash my teeth" at all racists that make it a point to display their racism ad nauseum throughout multiple threads and even in their profile picture. He has gone after PoC with this profile pic repeatedly, but this time he's settling on Hillary.

Look, characterize me all you want. If it doesn't bother you then good for you. That's one path to take. I, on the other hand, have no further interest in this exchange.

Eight children killed in Louisiana shooting, police say

Eight children, aged from one to 14 years old, have been killed in a shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana, which police are describing as a "domestic disturbance".

Officers said the incident began about 05:00 local time (10:00 BST). A single gunman shot 10 people before fleeing in a stolen car. Police then chased and killed the suspected shooter.

February and March "Mass Killings" from GVA.org

February 7 – 4 killed – Plainview, Texas
Latino male – Saul Villa

February 10 – 6 killed – Domestic violence – Sarasota, Florida
White male – Russell Kot
https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/incident/3409889

February 28 – 4 killed, 2 wounded – Road rage/neighbor dispute – Edinburg, Texas
"Mexican male from Mexico" according to early police reports.

March 22 – 6 killed, 2 wounded – armed robbery/spree – Amarillo, Texas
White male – Dustin Dale Johnson

For those who don't keep count, there were two in January. One white male, one Asian male.

So for the Year of our Lord Two thousand and twenty-six, the white boys are turning it around, and are now responsible for fully half the high casualty mass shootings and a higher body count in each? Check the Aryan calander- maybe it's the Year of the Cracker?

Let's review, shall we?

If your definition of "high casualty mass shootings" is 10 or more killed and/or wounded, which is the way I have counted them for the last several years, then no, not even close.
There have been 2 shootings that match that definition this year. Both of them perpetrated by black men.
Body count: 13 killed, 17 wounded.

If you want to count mass killings, as classified by gun violence.org, there have been 7 so far this year.
2 black males –14 killed, 2 wounded.
2 white males – 12 killed, 2 wounded.
2 Hispanic males – 8 killed, 2 wounded.
1 Asian male – 4 killed.

They seem confused to say the least.

"A section, believed to have been written by Clark, describes his views as neither left- nor right-wing, and voiced seething disdain for both sides. He claimed to align ideologically with Hitler..." Huh?

"The unhinged dispatch contains a scattershot of derogatory and racist views targeting a number of groups — including Muslims, Jews, and gay people, among others, describing himself as an “accelerationist” who hoped to instigate an “all-out race war” to bring about the collapse of society."

Seems like they hated just about everybody.

MAGA accounts all saying, without evidence and contrary to police statements so far, that they are Trans.

Of course they are, we know all shootings are by Trans
