You're ignoring the fact that the paper linked to on his website wasn't written by him, published by him or used any statistics quoted by him.b The article was peer reviewed and written by two professors. The undeniable fact that Lott felt the paper might help his "crusade" is absolutely ◊◊◊◊ all to do with the content. Doubling down on the genetic fallacy.

If you take the time to read the news articles, you'll see that it goes more like, "mass shooting knuckleheads shoot at other criminal knuckleheads but mostly hit innocent bystanders." I guess it's possible most of these bystanders are of the criminal variety…
