I see it is still utterly perplexing to some why the shooting incidents with the highest number of casualties get the most news coverage.
I am really tron by Gun Control;I think guns are too easy to get, but I also think , with democracy in danger in the US,that guns in private hands might well be the last defense against tyranny. I am sure I am not the only thus torn.

So far, I don't see tons of US citizens getting ready to take arms against their government, even though many consider the system rigged and manipulated by a minority, and see some of their fundamental rights being endangered.
Privately owned guns as the 'last defense against tyranny' ? That's a nice lullaby, but the real issue is that most people won't recognize a tyranny before it is too late to overthrow it. And even so, most simply won't take the risk of fighting it individually.
And that also ignores an even more fundamental issue: if you, as an opponent to the tyran, got weapons, it necessarily means that the supporters of the regime too. So a solution against tyranny would be to dive right into a civil war, where your main enemy is likely not the government, but your nextdoor neighbour who has opposite political opinions, I guess?
Is that really how you expect democracy to be saved ?

You hate America. We get it.
Don't blame the gun. He could have killed just as many people with ninja stars.

I've only seen it written. Can anyone tell me how it's being pronounced? By my regular rules of thumb for English pronunciation, I'd say "crime-o" but I can see if they might say "creem-o".Nah; "crim" isn't a common slang term here in the US like it is elsewhere in the Anglosphere.
Thanks. That's how the local news media is pronouncing it.
Not interested in a picture, thanks. Here's a picture of the shooter:
They picked up the guy, labeled a "Person of Interest" until he can be questioned and events verified. It must be said -- he's white and he's still alive.
And how exactly would you be sure that a "popular armed revolution" would lead to a democracy, and not to a dictatorship? As a last resort, in all else fails, yes, I would rather see a Civil War then a dictatorship go unchallenged.
Worse than a war with no leadership, led by citizens whose primary driving motive will be hatred towards political ideas and its supporters, in a highly polarized society with deep-rooted racial issues? What do you think would be the most likely result of this?I am not a pacifist; I think there are times when there are worse things then war.
I'd love to hear more about how they caught him--was he spotted on security cameras?
One of Crimo’s videos appears to be recorded by him as he waits among a crowd for a presidential motorcade to pass. Photos that appear to show Crimo attending a rally for former president Donald Trump have also surfaced, but it is not clear from his online postings that he was a supporter of Trump or any other political party or candidate.
“He was immersed in fringe internet culture. But nothing uncovered so far suggests a clear political or ideological motive,” said Emerson T. Brooking, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, which studies how information spreads online.
