Tim Minchin

I saw him earlier this year and have two of his DVDs. Two of my friends have been converted to being fans of his, one of them at TAM London.

Saw him at TAM London, and am now impatiently waiting for the DVD of his current show.

'if i didn't have you someone else would do' - tim minchin. I tell my mrs that when she's bugging me

Just got back from his sold-out Melbourne gig. I had high expectations - and they were exceeded. The best two and a bit hours I have spent in years.

I seem to be the only one who doesn't salivate when he's mentioned.
Ok he's tailor made for skepticism but looking beyond the subject matter ,as a performer most of the stuff I've seen is him sort of stating the obvious, with hair, to virtually the same tune, with a piano -
It's not material that I would want to hear more than once.

.

There's more to his music than that...

Sorry, not impressed with the first one, the second is better, it actually was the first song I heard by him performed on Tv but it goes on too long..

Each to their own but I'm not going to be a fan.

Well that proves that you have no taste and are not a true skeptic.

Seriously though, I can see what you are getting at. The audience I was in was full of true believers, but if you were not sure what you were going to experience I can see you could be disappointed. As it was, at least one group loudly walked out after his "I love Jesus" song, which was pretty surprising in a fairly secular place like Melbourne.

Maybe they didn't get that the other half of the I LOVE JESUS bit was tongue-in-cheek?

Gays don't get irony. :p

Just saw his live show "Ready For This?" last night in Canberra. Not having heard but one of his numbers before, I was surprised, delighted and impressed at his musical prowess, not to mention his comedic spin on critical thinking.
(And he's cute too.)

Not sure how anyone here could dislike him, unless they just haven't seen much of his material. Many comedians state the obvious, they just do it in a clever way which makes you laugh.
