I'm going to add spaces to his name, because the last thing I need is for any of these folks to Google this jerk and find their way here.
His name: Dr. (ha) David B o n e
chiropractor (yeah, that's funny, his name, in fact when I was googling him, I came across a page where people were listing ironic names with occupations and he was listed)
his address (and sometimes it's listed St. L, and other times a suburb, I think it's on the line and can go either way)
7734 W a t s o n Road in St. L, MO
I've gone to the chiro board a number of times (but keep forgetting to file a complaint...will do that) to check his licensing. He's licensed, and when the state did have complaints online, I found none. Last I checked, they changed it from online to "you have to call and ask."
In MO, you also apparently have to be licensed for acupuncture, and he does that as well. He supposedly cured my aunt's TMJ with that. So when I was still going to him at my mother's request, I thought, while I'm here, why not try some acupuncture. I asked if he could do that on me, and he said:
Your body is not ready to accept it at this time. So it would not be helpful. When your body is in better shape and ready to accept it, I will let you know. In the meantime, these many overpriced supplements and my fairy drops will fix you right up.
Later, when I was digging around online, I learned that you must be licensed for acupuncture in MO, and he was not. I don't have any idea if he used to be (when he did it on my evil aunt) and then let it go or lost it for some reason, or if he knew my aunt was such a koolaid drinker that she would never turn him in.
If I wasn't worried he'd figure out a way to accidentally on purpose maim me, I'd call up and make an appointment, just to raise some hell. (I'm sure they would say no, unless he just believes I'm filled with djinns and reptilian aliens.)
And while we're at it, a moment of silence for some unfortunate monks in Tibet. A year or two ago, he allegedly (he says) went to Tibet to treat a bunch of monks.
