Thermonuclear devices?

Thanks Huntsman, my reply has been sent off to my friend. He also mentioend a maser as a possible weapon to bring down the WTCs which I promptly dismissed out of hand unless he had ANY evidence of said maser with anything even remotely approaching the needed power existing. He never got back to me on that one. LOL

I doubt a maser would do it, not as it fell anyway.

A maser uses microwave radiation, which primarily works by resonating with molecular bonds to cause vibration/motion in the molecules, thus producing heat (that may not be 100%, though). But, a maser would produce effects similar to those of a microwave. I'm just not seeing that.

The article you linked above is sort of two-sided. The author links to some valid information, then goes off into some point that shows he's completely mis-understood what his source was saying. It's kind of an Alice-in-wonderland type feel. Now, I avoided most of the alternate sources, so I can't say I read everything.
 
I think I'm going to stop reading all the C-Tard theories about 9/11. It puts me in the same mood as all the anti-education, anti-science nutjobs like creationists (IDiots, whatever they call themselves these days) and anti-vaxers. When I get to the point of wanting to rip out someone's esophagus after they bring up the same debunked garbage yet again, it's time to stop, find some dirty hippie, bum some smoke and relax for a bit. Whack-a-mole is fun for a little while, but I got tired of playing it long ago.

Yeah, I'm rapidly approaching my saturation point, as well. Lately I've ben getting much shorter and more frustrated. I believe it's important to show the CT arguments for what thye are, but I'm gonna have to take a break before long or you'll see me doing a tri-state killing spree...or possibly covering myself with blueberry yogurt, running down main street, naked except for a gas mask, and singing the "I'm a little teapot" song.
 
I cannot believe a member of my profession thinks they used a thermonuclear weapon to bring down the WTCs. Makes me wonder what medical school he got his MD from. Then again, all types get into medical school, including a few whackos.

As far as I know, the most powerful masers ever built are used in planetary radar systems -- Deep Space Network communication-style antennas juiced up to scan for orbital debris and hazardous meteoroids. The biggest I can think of is a mere 1 MW in power, found here. If anybody knows of anything in the 10 MW class or larger, I'd be interested to find out...

As the link clearly shows, that kind of hardware would probably have been noticed. It doesn't exactly fit underneath a trench coat, or even in a Black HelicopterTM.

Just more CT's pulling stuff out of science fiction books without the faintest glimmer of comprehension.
 
Oh, one thing I meant to add...

The web page talked about "focused" nuclear blasts, and gave the Orion project as an example.

Calling that focused is like setting off a grenade next to a steel plate and claimg it's focused.

The idea behind Orion: Build a ship on top of a huge, ginormous, hugantic steel plate. Drop a nuke set to blow up as soon as it's on the other side of this plate. Ride the blast wave. Do this at a high frequency and you generate significant thrust.

Not exactly focused, just riding the blast from a unidirectional explosion.
 
Ah, the memories...

One of the first threads I ever participated in drifted into the world of Orion-style propulsion. It bears even less in common with the WTC collapses.

Like I said, science fiction, misapplied by someone with nothing but an agenda.
