The worst photo lineup EVER!!

That's ridiculous, but by representing himself at his trial and resisting an ID parade, he hardly helped matters. Yes, he should be compensated, but the amount he gets should be reduced to reflect the fact that he's partly the author of his own misfortune.

Is it legal to force a person to attend an ID parade where that person is a suspect?

I disagree.
I don't care if he put lipstick on his fingers, spoke in a falsetto voice and defended himself Señor Wences style, if the prosecutors "failed to disclose blood testing from sperm that would have excluded Henry in one of the assaults," then he deserves full compensation.

On reflection, you're right. I overlooked that part of the story. He did himself no favours during the trial, but the prosecution's failure to disclose evidence that would have exonerated him is not down to his behaviour. It should've been a slam-dunk acquittal, however much of a dick the defendant made of himself.

[I am assuming Canadian jurisprudence is similar to American when I assert that ] The prosecution has an inviolate duty to provide exculpatory evidence. Their duty is not to provide exculpatory evidence only to defendants who act in a rational, mature, and helpful manner.

That's true for the UK too.

Yes. Yet he was set free. Later, he was found guilty of other charges (a photo array was used this time). The case resurfaced as he was found innocent not guilty some 30 years later and the state refuses to pay any compensation based on what is stricken off in this paragraph.

hahahahahahahahha!!! You gotta be kidding.

And which century was it? The 13th, right? After the photoshoot they dropped him 90 feet down a well to see if he floatated.

This is a real police line up photo? For reals? I only ask because it looks like something out of a comedy or parody. But if it is real, that's far worse than the photo array that was used in the conviction of Cash (a man that in America that was falsely convicted based on the "victim's" testimony, a sperm sample from a vaginal swab that couldn't have come from him because he had been fixed years prior, and a tainted photo array... For crime that never occurred in the first place).
