So, this billboard showed up by my work last week. Apparently, the world is ending again. This time, it's May 21, 2011. I guess they are trying to beat the rush during 2012. Has anyone else seen these billboards?
Portal 2 comes out from April 19 to 21 in different regions so I doubt it.Are we saying that the second coming of Christ on May 21 is actually viral advertising for portal 2?
sweet
It's in the bible, so of course many believers ignore it.Whatever happened to the concept of Jesus coming "like a thief in the night"? IE the EotW date being a surprise?

We have a public address system here. I know the guy that runs it. I have a steer horn horn (I don't know how else to put that.) I have to figure out how to get him to let me do the Gabriel-thing on May 21st.lot:
I still want to find one of those people...
"Here, sign this. It's a contract that says that I pay you $500 today, and that on May 22, I get your house and your RV. Here's the $500."
Just walk in on the 22nd. If they're there you get to laugh at them. If they're gone...you get to laugh at them.
Well, yeah, but I'd rather laugh at them while driving a big RV that I bought from them for $500; while living in their nice house that I bought from them for $500.
I mean, walk in, take their stuff, laugh at them, kick them out, shoot them if necessary (hey, if they missed the Rapture, this is their second chance to get to Heaven, right?) Then you have their stuff. You can feed their bodies to feral pigs. They won't care.
So May 21st is the day of rapture where they all disappear in one big "poof!" eh ?
Welp, time to dig out the mini cooler, a six pack of beer, and the lawn chair... set meself up on Main Street (suntan lotion and all), sit back and watch the jovial festivities front row center.

Poof!
Poof!
Po...zip! (oops, that poor bugger only partially beamed up, ewww)
Poof!
... Fingers crossed folks, fingers crossed.
The better question, I think, is this: How can this become a "teachable moment" to keep people from being sucked into this kind of nonsense in the future?
