THE TWO WAYS - an interesting quote...

What I'm saying is that today most people are limiting themselfs with the inventions of science and not useing their body resources for more then 5 or so %.

:con2: Then why did you bring up all that stuff about things greater than us? I don't see the connection.

As for the rest, first, science isn't about making inventions but rather testing assertions, second, I don't know how long I can hold a brick between thumb and forefinger, but I have better things to do, and third, I'm all in favor of people of people learning how to do more things with their bodies; why don't you show us how it's done by increasing your reasoning abilities in this thread?

I wasn't talking only about the brain, but the resources of the whole body. For example, how long do you think an average person could be holding on to a brick only with his index and middle finger? Few minutes max?

There was a video tape of one woman how was holding her child with one hand and holding to a brick outside a window of the firth floor for 4 hours, untill firefighters got her down. I.e. in stress her body had opened some resoursec that people do not use in everyday life.

Thanx

My theory on this would be that the human body has a lot of theoretical potential in many different directions, and it is for each human to choose which they invest their time and effort in developing. For example, for the time one person invests learning to hold a brick between their finger and thumb, someone else invests that time in, say, writing a book. Is the person who wrote the book using more, the same, or less of their resources because they are unable to hold a brick between their finger and thumb?

Might your theory be more effective if you were to distinguish between the sum of all possible human achievement and the theoretical possible achievement of any particular human?

Sure, yes. Very admirable goal!

If you accomplish something unexpected and extraordinary (and there are well documented cases where people have accomplished seemingly impossible feats in crisis situations) then tell everyone about it! Demonstrate it! Learn about it! Share it! There are people who make a living with self-help seminars and positive thinking classes!

If it's supernatural, like levitation or spoon bending, perform for Mr. Randi and he'll give you a check for 1 Million dollars! Use the money to feed the poor if you don't want it! The important thing would be to demonstrate that such things really exsist.
