CIDRAP reported, "The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has pivoted to using data from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) for measles death counts, and not state data collected via the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System...Experts say the move is confusing, as the NCHS data are meant to look at long-term morbidity and mortality trends, and not individual cases of infectious diseases." Earlier this year, the company received a $41 million sole-source contract from Trump's Defense Department for the development of the compound, which in part funded a phase III trial that's still ongoing...If it gets the EUA, the company said it can "begin generating revenue ahead of full FDA approval and in parallel with" its ongoing phase III program."

One in five unvaccinated children must be hospitalized, and 1-3 out of a thousand will die of measles. According to the WHO "Before the introduction of measles vaccine in 1963 and widespread vaccination, major epidemics occurred approximately every two to three years and caused an estimated 2.6 million deaths each year."

That reminded me that we haven't been favoured with any of PartSkeptic's bizarre beliefs recently. I just checked his profile and he last posted over a year ago. I can only hope that his conviction that his subjective anecdotal experiences were a far more reliable source of knowledge that decades of scientific investigation didn't finally catch up with him.
