The Truth about RFK Jr

For AP News Ali Swenson reported, "The order recommends separating the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine into three different shots administered in separate visits, and directs the nation’s health department to improve vaccine research, says a White House fact sheet, first reported by The Daily Caller. Separate measles, mumps and rubella vaccines for children are not currently available in the United States."
Aside from the the fact the MMR vaccine is currently not available in separate doses, this further penalizes the lower middle class and poor for whom even one visit to a clinician can stretch the family budget. It sounds like a plan to increase doctor and clinic remuneration.

He was asked about the higher costs for struggling families at the EO signing and looked caught off guard. He said they'll be "working with families". Translation: nothing.

I got my flu, shingles, pneumonia and TDAP shots today. Not only did the taxpayers (Medicare) pay for them, but Walgreens also gave me a $20 credit. (No, I'm not sharing it with you.) So, by next week, I expect to have autism.

Oh, and, ◊◊◊◊ YOU BRAINWORM JR.!
So, trip to Vegas the week after?

At Respectful Insolence Orac first quoted portions of President Trump's statement. "In many cases, we’re requiring 72 jabs for our beautiful, healthy, lovely, delicate little children, including giving the hepatitis B shot to infants and newborns on top of many other vaccinations. The hepatitis B shouldn’t be given until they are 14 or 15 years old. They were given early." About this he wrote, "As for the part about the hepatitis B vaccine, there are very good scientific and public health reasons why the CDC recommended the birth dose, which has long been a bugaboo among antivaxxers. The only likely effect of delaying the birth dose, as this administration has been trying to do, will be more cases of hepatitis B and, decades from now, more cases of liver cancer, the most deadly late complication of chronic hepatitis B infection."

As I think I said earlier, when growing up, probably most children knew someone with polio and the suffering they experienced. The polio vaccine was miraculous.

But the thing I worry about most is how can young people be taught to be truthful when some of the most prominent politicians in the world are non-stop liars.

True enough. I think there is a tendency in history, and especially in political history, to forget the origin of things. We see burdensome regulations and because they have worked, we forget the odious conditions and near disasters that led to them. We see vaccines but because they worked, the awful diseases and deaths they prevented are not part of our daily lives. And, of course, cupidinous business leaders and dishonest politicians use this. When you get far enough from the brink, it ceases to exist. Who needs a polio vaccine when there's no polio around?

The Guardian reported on data that the federal government used to track. "Over the past year and a half, at least 28 federal datasets have been deleted and another 338 data collections have been modified, according to an online tracker released last week from dataindex.us, a group of data policy experts, researchers and developers that formed last year to monitor changes to government data...The tracker includes detailed information about deleted or altered datasets from more than 60 federal agencies that span the environment, labor, law enforcement and other topics. But datasets on health appear to be the most affected by the Trump administration’s crackdown, comprising about 40% of the total number of terminated or altered data collections tracked by dataindex.us." In some instances the government is simply failing to update data.

This, people, is why you make backups.

Hopefully, someone somewhere will have a pre-Kennedy pristine backup or three of these datasets. And also copies of the true input data for the duration. Later, they may be able to construct true statistical datasets. But not while this walnut-faced fool is in charge.
