The Truth about RFK Jr

Politico interviewed Professor (of operations management) Retsef Levi of the ACIP. "Retsef Levi, one of the advisers, has some choice words for the critics: They’re conflicted. They’re misleading the public. They’re party to gross, even criminal negligence, he says...Levi said the experts have it all wrong, that the 98 percent drop in infection rates came before the universal birth dose became the norm in 2005 and that vaccination of at-risk people, sex workers and intravenous drug users, is the real reason rates have plummeted. The vaccine was first rolled out in the 1980s and recommended for all children in 1991."

I can hardly believe the collection of idiots this corrupt administration has placed in positions of power and influence.

The New York Times had previously reported, "But supporters of the [Hepatitis B] vaccine note that the virus can be spread by household objects like toothbrushes, razors or combs that are used by an infected person. Only about half of cases before 1991 were a result of transmission from an infected mother." I will try to return to this topic, time permitting.

At Pandemic Accountability Index JJ Kogburne wrote, "At the date of this publication, quack sports physician Tracy Beth Hoeg is starting her first day as the head drug regulator at the Food and Drug Administration, and her first priority is going after medications to treat RSV. This is an impressively unqualified crank who believes in “harnessing the body’s natural healing ability,” opposes all sorts of vaccines, and frequently makes basic errors and refuses to admit fault when corrected by experienced professionals. In other words, a demonizer of modern medicine and advocate for infectious diseases, especially in children & babies."

Maybe they can put the costs of all the tiny coffins on her AMEX card?

I am starting to read the Vaccine Integrity Project's report on the Hep B vaccine. CIDRAP does not take money from pharmaceutical companies. Here are a few quotes" “Recommendations shifted from risk-based vaccination to a universal birth-dose strategy; each review refined recommendations to address specific gaps. As a result, pediatric HBV incidence declined by 99% since 1991. Given the long-term protection provided by the hepatitis B vaccine, the birth dose was also key in reducing HBV transmission, disease, and death in the US overall.”

“Results of randomized trials, large national safety monitoring programs, and long-term follow-up studies consistently demonstrate that the hepatitis B vaccine is safe regardless of vaccine timing. No safety benefits were identified for a delayed first dose versus vaccination at birth.”

“More than 17,000 infants are born annually to women with HBV, yet 18% of pregnant women do not receive hepatitis B testing, and only 35% of women who test positive receive all recommended follow-up care. Delaying the first dose leaves infants vulnerable to both undiagnosed maternal infection and HBV exposure after birth.”

Link. “Because DEI was so deeply embedded in the NIH’s portfolio, it will take some time to complete the work, but by the end of this fiscal year, we will have restored merit and science-based research to their rightful place at the NIH...So that the NIH never again strays from its mission, we have established new formal priorities for the NIH, with DEI removed and gold standard science leading the way. Scientists will no longer have to mouth DEI shibboleths to garner funding but instead propose excellent science that helps make America healthy again.”
I wonder if they did what Elon did when he targeted "DEI".

Elon just scanned for keywords and never even read the grants he cancelled. For example. Creating programs that address issues that mainly affect people living in poverty is not discrimination against that wealthy.

To a reasonable person, correct. But to the unreasonable every penny spent on something other than themselves is a hostile act. If they have no use for X then X shouldn't exist and shouldn't be funded.

Doesn't matter if the pregnant women and babies so affected are brown...

at some point we all need to realize these guys never had any plan. they threw out some buzz words and needed to appear to be making an effort, and in doing so destroyed a bunch of really valuable stuff.

i kind of feel bad for the people that thought they were getting a serious attempt at addressing some of these issues. kind of because they seem to genuinely believe elon musk was some kind of super genius that could be simultaneously and effortlessly good at everything and have all the answers, and that he could write an algorithm to fix all their problems. but it's that kind of delusion and susceptibility to being mislead that leads them to believe that black people can't be air traffic controllers and that vaccines are the real cause of health problems. they're stupid and ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊, bad combo.

Based partially on his experience with HIV, Dr. Robert Gallo offered his thoughts regarding pandemics and funding at MedPageToday. "However, this ongoing challenge is not simply a medical issue; it is also a policy issue. Governments often dramatically increase funding for infectious disease research during a crisis, only to let it decline, or even collapse, once the crisis fades. We saw it with HIV in the 1990s, and now it is even more severe with HIV today. We've also seen it more recently with the COVID pandemic and the significant reduction in funding. The world applauds science when an emergency erupts, then quietly dismantles the infrastructure needed to finish the job and prevent the next one. Science journalism also plays a critical role; when pandemics are not visible, public attention fades unless journalists continue to explain the stakes and sustain interest in preparedness. As noted, COVID-19 exposed that weakness again. It showed how fragile our systems of surveillance, coordination, and trust have become, and how quickly misinformation can undo years of scientific progress. Pandemic preparedness, like public health itself, suffers from a paradox: when it works, it becomes invisible. And because it is invisible, it is chronically underfunded."

Also at MedPageToday: "In "American Science Shattered," STAT chronicles how, despite some bright spots -- such as the restoration of billions in grant funding through the courts -- the Trump administration "has, with shocking speed, ripped up the longstanding social contract that existed between scientists and the federal government.""

At Science-Based Medicine physician Mark Crislip covered pandemics and pandemic preparedness, including school closures. He wrote, "I will confess I am not a fan of the current approach for the next epidemic, which is to do nothing. Well, not exactly nothing. Jay Bhattacharya, director of the National Institutes of Health, writes

Whether simply by stopping smoking, controlling hypertension or diabetes, or getting up and walking more, anything that makes the population healthier will prepare us better for the next pandemic.
Asymptotically approaching nothing but not quite there. The rest of our infection control approaches from the COVID pandemic appear off the table, from school closures to vaccines...There are many pathogens that have no problem infecting people, regardless of your metabolic health. HIV. Hepatitis A and B and C. Coronavirus. Influenza. Measles. And more. What do these viri have in common? They use us to reproduce. They have evolved extremely efficient methods to infect us, multiply, and then move on to the next human, causing symptomatic disease and, on occasion, death. Viral reproduction will always win if there is no preexisting immunity, AKA vaccines...So who knows with the next pandemic. If it is more like influenza than COVID, the old play book would be just the thing to control it."

Dr. Crislip discussed genetic diversity in the context of pandemics: "Another assumption seems to be the idea that everyone shares the same immune system. We don’t. Variation is the clay that evolution molds and the immune system has too numerous to count variations that increases or decreases your response to infection...You lack a chemokine receptor. Congratulations. You cannot get HIV from sex. But you are more likely to have a bad outcome from West Nile. What evolution gives, evolution takes away."

At Beyond the Noise Dr. Paul Offit provided a retrospective on times when vaccines were shown to have negative side effects. He concluded, "Enter Steve Kirsch, who has said that Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine has “killed more people than it saved.” Great. Prove it. Do the kinds of epidemiological studies that were done for Guillain-Barré syndrome, intussusception, narcolepsy, and clotting. Do the hard work that’s required to prove that a vaccine safety problem is real and stop whining about Big Pharma and government conspiracies. Serious vaccine safety problems will be published if the data are rigorously collected, analyzed, controlled for confounding variables, subjected to peer review, and reproduced by other investigators. And they won’t be published if the data are weak. Vaccine safety is a scientific question that should be solved in a scientific venue, not on a debate stage."

If you didn't think he's insane enough already:

U.S. president Donald Trump is expected to sign a defense bill this week that orders a government watchdog to probe a conspiracy theory—promoted by the country’s secretary of health and human services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. —that the U.S. military bioengineered Lyme disease.

Despite this established pathway for the disease, Kennedy has promoted the conspiracy theory that Lyme was bioengineered; on a 2024 podcast, he mused that the condition “is highly likely to have been a military weapon.” And at a roundtable on Monday, Kennedy appeared alongside Republican Representative Chris Smith of New Jersey, who authored the defense bill directive to investigate a possible connection between the military and Lyme.

If the bill passes into law as currently written, the Government Accountability Office will be ordered to investigate a link, E&E News’ Climatewire reported. “GAO will be fully empowered to leave no stone unturned, and now it’ll have a congressional mandate to get to the bottom of it because they were weaponizing ticks,” Smith said at the Monday roundtable.

Go to the link for more about this insanity.

AZT killed more people than AIDS

RFK Jr. says that during the AIDS epidemic, the treatment AZT, widely pushed on patients, probably took more lives than AIDS did.

“During the AIDS epidemic in this country, the NIH took the position that they were an ivory tower, that the solution was gonna come from them, and they refused to talk to the physicians who were on the ground.”

“In places like Dallas and New York and San Francisco and Los Angeles where physicians were developing ways of successfully treating the symptoms of AIDS.”

“Those physicians were silenced. They were de-licensed, they were censored, they were demonized and vilified.”

“The agency here wanted to control and they wanted to develop the treatment.

“And they developed AZT, which probably ki**ed more people than AIDS did, conceivably.”

STLivingFU, you dangerous, lying, unscrupulous piece of garbage.

From 2023.

CLAIM: The majority of AIDS patients died from medication developed when Dr. Anthony Fauci led the nation’s response to the emerging epidemic, not from the virus itself.

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. While it’s true that Fauci had been a leading researcher when AIDS emerged in the 1980s, the claims that azidothymidine, commonly known as AZT, killed more people than the virus itself are baseless. Public health agencies from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to the World Health Organization, as well as prominent AIDS organizations and researchers, told The Associated Press the drug remains in use today as it’s been shown to be effective at keeping HIV in check when used in combination with other medications.

THE FACTS: Social media users are once again sharing the long debunked notion that Fauci, the face of the nation’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, advocated decades earlier for a drug to combat the emerging AIDS epidemic that turned out to be more deadly than the virus itself.
