The Truth about RFK Jr

CIDRAP reported, "Twelve former US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) commissioners yesterday published a commentary calling out Vinay Prasad, MD, MPH, director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, for proposing sweeping changes to vaccine safety regulation based on what he claims, without presenting evidence, are 10 deaths in children caused by COVID-19 vaccines...The memo [from Prasad] offered no explanation of the process and analyses that were used to reach the new retrospective judgment, nor did it indicate why that assessment should justify wholesale rewriting of vaccine regulation."

CIDRAP also covered the recent FDA memo, "In the future, the FDA will "demand pre-market randomized trials assessing clinical endpoints for most new products," including vaccines, Prasad wrote. He noted that COVID-19 vaccines have not been tested in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in pregnant women. Such trials are the most rigorous type of study, but they can cost millions of dollars and take years to produce results. "We will not be granting marketing authorization to vaccines in pregnant women" without such evidence, Prasad wrote.

CIDRAP continued, "Demanding an RCT would prevent pregnant women from receiving most vaccines, said Jake Scott, MD, a clinical associate professor of infectious disease and geographic medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. That's because pregnant women are almost never included in RCTs of vaccines or other drugs due to potential risks to the fetus, Scott said. Instead, the FDA does careful safety monitoring and measures antibody levels in women's blood, which can show whether the vaccine is generating an immune response."

Jonathan Howard provided short clips of Marty Makary discussing the putative lab origins of Covid-19, AIDS, and Lyme disease at Science-Based Medicine.

At the Substack ImmunoLogic Andrea Love wrote about the new members of the ACIP and yesterday's meeting, which dealt with the Hepatitis B vaccine: "As a result, they don’t know how to review and interpret vaccine-related data, which has caused varying degrees of head scratching, contradiction, and chaos during ACIP meetings...Before we get into the science, it’s worth emphasizing: everything in this article is the scientific foundation for why the birth dose has been universally recommended for more than three decades. These are not abstract biological trivia. This is the evidence the ACIP is supposed to weigh when determining whether newborns should remain protected. This is the evidence the current ACIP is now ignoring. This meeting wasn’t called because of new data—it was called because RFK Jr. has his ideologues installed and he wants to unravel health policy. And that’s why all of us need to understand the data, the context, and the history, and why the current ACIP is not only wholly unqualified, but are actively endangering our lives."

At Unbiased Science Jess Steier commented on the first day of the ACIP meeting, "This isn’t a closed-door academic debate. Parents are watching. Pregnant women are watching. People in other countries are watching. They’re watching individuals with impressive credentials—PhDs, MDs (albeit sometimes in unrelated fields)—raise concerns about SIDS and encephalitis based on correlation data that has been assessed thoroughly over decades and found not to be causally linked. They’re not presenting new evidence. They’re resurfacing old fears, but now with institutional authority behind them. She continued, "We have randomized controlled trials. We have cohort studies following hundreds of thousands of infants. We have population-level surveillance spanning decades. We have studies directly comparing birth dose to delayed vaccination showing no difference in adverse events. We have 35 years of real-world evidence demonstrating this vaccine is safe and effective. What exactly would “adequate [safety data]” look like? At some point, the goalposts aren’t being moved… they’ve disappeared entirely." Her son said, “That sounds like a hot mess.”

CBS News reported, "Instead of a first dose within 24 hours of birth — as the CDC has advised for more than 30 years — the panel voted to recommend delaying it until a child is 2 months old for children born to mothers who test negative for the virus...Many medical experts and organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics opposed such a change, saying it will leave young children at risk of an infection that can cause lifelong illness. They point to decades of research confirming the vaccine's safety and effectiveness...Restef Levi, an ACIP member and mathematician who has no medical training, strongly argued against the universal birth dose, falsely claiming that experts had "never tested (the vaccines) appropriately.""

The New York Times reported today that, "The risk of “infection throughout your early stage of life, and probably throughout most of your childhood, is extremely low,” Retsef Levi, a panelist and a professor of operations management at Massachusetts of Technology.

“To quantify how low it is, it’s probably one in several millions,” he said." What?!

The NYT also reported on yesterday's proceedings: "At the meeting on Thursday, Cynthia Nevison, a climate researcher at the University of Colorado, and Mark Blaxill, a well-known vaccine activist, presented data on disease rates and safety concerns about the vaccine." I would not have used the word "activist."

I do think we should be on the lookout for unnatural disease sources, as there's clear evidence of ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ insanity spreading fast. (e.t.a. note of course the autocensor did its job. Underneath the bleep is a reference to those little flying mammals and their byproducts....)

I don't think so as long as it's just advice. Last I heard, Vermont is not planning to follow the insane advice on infant vaccinations.
It will be interesting to see if the effect of RFK jr is to reduce the CDC to a nest of anti-vaxxers that is only heeded by states like Florida. The other states could perhaps setup their own cooperations to gather statistics, and produce sound advice?

At Inside Medicine Dr. Jeremy Faust wrote, "Meanwhile, a lawyer who has made a living suing vaccine manufacturers lectured the committee for literal hours...Of course, the large irony on “conflicts of interest” was not lost on observers with functioning brains. Secretary Kennedy fired all seventeen genuine experts from the committee this summer by claiming, despite evidence to the contrary, that the incumbent panelists had too many conflicts of interest. Now, the committee has to hear a lawyer who makes his living suing vaccine manufacturers pontificate for hours."

Dr. Faust continued, "The fantasy is that infants of mothers who test negative for Hepatitis B do not need vaccination. Targeted approaches have been tried. They failed. A universal recommendation at birth, however, succeeded, leading to thousands of fewer cases. The problem is that not everyone gets tested. People without test results may think they are fine, but some are actually infected. Sometimes there are false negative results. Sometimes mothers (or other close-contacts of infants, such as family members) can accidentally transmit the virus to an infant, owing to exposure from cuts or insufficient hygiene...Meanwhile, randomized controlled trials show that the vaccines are safe and effective. Long-term surveillance ratifies that...Make no mistake, this recommendation will decrease Hepatitis B vaccine uptake, which will lead to more infections, more disease, and eventually more death."

At MedPageToday Dr. Claire Panosian Dunovan wrote, "Even today, roughly half of HBV sufferers in Asia get infected at birth. Untreated, one in four later die from cirrhosis or liver cancer...Meanwhile, hope was on the horizon: Thanks to infant vaccination, perinatal HBV infections in Korea had already plummeted by 80% by 1999...Before the availability of a vaccine, hepatitis B was one of the world's top 10 killers, leading to an estimated 1-2 million deaths per year. Then, childhood cancers and deaths from HBV began to fall once the vaccine became more widely available. Giving HBV vaccine (in some cases combined with hepatitis B immunoglobulin) immediately following birth reduced perinatal and childhood infection in the U.S. by 99% since 1991opens in a new tab or window and by at least 90% in other parts of the world. Nonetheless, today the virus still causes roughly 820,000 deaths globallyopens in a new tab or window each year."

Infectious disease expert Michael Osterholm wrote, "Since universal vaccination at birth was introduced in 1991, infant hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections have been nearly eliminated, and pediatric HBV infections in the United States have dropped by at least 90%. A 2024 CDC study looking at children born between 1994 and 2023 indicated that vaccination against HBV had prevented more than 6 million hepatitis B infections and nearly 1 million hepatitis B-related hospitalizations in the U.S...The Vaccine Integrity Project’s evidence review of the first dose of the hepatitis B vaccine will offer a transparent, data-driven view of its safety and effectiveness — exactly what our initiative was created to do."

“This irresponsible and purposely misleading guidance will lead to more hepatitis B infections in infants and children. I want to reassure parents and clinicians that there is no new or concerning information about the hepatitis B vaccine that is prompting this change, nor has children’s risk of contracting hepatitis B changed. Instead, this is the result of a deliberate strategy to sow fear and distrust among families,” said American Academy of Pediatrics President Susan J. Kressly.

It is deeply frustrating to watch the US abandon the best preventive measures that modern medicine offers, and then to hear this ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ spread across the world as well. I cannot believe that this is actually happening, it's just so incredibly stupid, and so unnecessary, and so damaging for generations to come. The people who are facilitating this descent into anti-science darkness really ought to know better; many of them were born before the vaccines for childhood diseases became a part of our lives, and must have seen how potentially dangerous those diseases can be, so there is no excuse for this. And most of them really don't care, they just sit back and let Worm Brain wreak havoc.

We live in a time when vaccines and other preventive medical measures are safer, cheaper, and more readily available than ever before, and we are apparently about to turn our back on that. This is beyond stupid.

It's deliberate. The oligarch class taking over the US believes the population has grown too high and wishes to thin it out. As so-called AI improves it will increasingly replace the demand for human labor, and excess humans are considered unnecessary competition for resources.

at times they’re also really concerned about the birth rate. but maybe that’s a whites only birth rate. maybe it’s a eugenics thing like only the healthy should populate mars

idk they’re psychos

Dr. Jess Steier (Unbiased Science) wrote, "We heard a two-hour presentation from an anti-vaccine lawyer whose career is built on suing vaccine manufacturers. If I understood him correctly, he has dozens of active lawsuits pending. How is that not a disqualifying conflict of interest? When Dr. Meissner pushed back, calling his presentation “a terrible, terrible distortion of all the facts,” Siri assured him that his work is “not a very lucrative endeavor.” KFF Health News reports that ICAN, an anti-vaccine organization, paid Siri’s law firm $6 million in 2023 alone—a real Orphan Annie story."
Dr. Steier continued, "1. The playbook slipped. There were moments where ACIP members let their intentions show. Like when Retsef Levi asked Aaron Siri how ACIP could help eliminate vaccine mandates. The answer? Have the federal government override state policy. I shouldn’t even put that into the universe."

And, "3. “We don’t see hepatitis B anymore.” People kept saying this. How rare it is. Do you know why that’s the case? I’ll give you one guess."

The New York Times covered the Hepatitis B vaccine debate: "Hepatitis B is more common in other countries, especially in parts of Africa and Asia, in part because of low vaccination rates. The World Health Organization estimates that there are around 1.2 million new infections of hepatitis B each year globally. In 2022, the organization noted, over one million people died after contracting the virus, largely because of liver complications...But babies who are infected in the first year of life have about a 90 percent chance of developing a chronic infection. And about 30 percent of children infected between the ages of 1 and 5 develop chronic hepatitis B. Left untreated, chronic infections can lead to irreversible liver damage, scarring, failure and cancer over time. These complications can be deadly."

These types of debates are more about entertainment than enlightenment, which is true of most You Tube videos, but that's the world we live in.

Here, Dr Mike argues against 20 RFK Jr supporters.

Here is Dr. Noc on the Hep B vaccine. He is very good at packing a good deal of information into a short period of time.
