Cont: The Trump Presidency Part III

Has Trump taken any sort of public position on the situation in Zimbabwe yet? [INSERT NAMBIA JOKE HERE]

If he is tweeting on shootings that kill five or six his twitter feed is going to be busy.

Gawd he's giving a boring speech today. I couldn't take more than a minute. I'll wait for the news pundits to point out the most bizarre claims. Already he's asserted that, "12 days" wow, that's something." :sdl:

He repeated the lie about NATO money now pouring in. Along with a typical gem "NATO loves Trump, believe me".

He's doing the heavy sniffing thing.

No other human being has ever spent 12 days in Asia visiting various countries. It's a feat of endurance unprecedented in human history and once again highlights that President Donald J Trump is the greatest person in every capacity who ever lived.

And under such brutally Spartan conditions as well.

May be material for a new superhero movie.

(Imagine if he had done the entire trip flying coach. And going through customs like every one else.)

I made it longer (~20 minutes), but only out of amazement.
Blather, hyperbole, outright lies... self aggrandizement.

Did I miss anything?

He is, hands down, the absolute worst highly positioned public speaker I've ever seen. If he hadn't been a silver-spoon baby... he'd have been laughed off every dais he ever approached. :boggled:

Ditto on waiting for the breakdowns... should be interesting.

WTF. Are you saying he retweeted the exact same message?

I don't know how easy (or not) it is to copy & paste between tweets... but he seems to have done so and then forgot to change the location name.
It was a ridiculously bone headed mistake.

While I'm thinking about Twitter...

How common is it for a celeb/personality to have their "fan's" tweets so completely overwhelmed (IMO) by detractors?

It would depress the hell out of me if it was my feed and I saw that mass of hate.
Every single one of the tweet strings I look at is just an avalanche of "you suck". :p

Very common. Ivanka has a minor problem there, people like Assange and Chelsea Manning (who is wonderful and takes it like a boss) and many others who are in any way "controversial" have pure poison in their comments.

edit: There are (of course) tools they can use to filter their twitter experience to something like "hide all comments that call me names from accounts who have less than ten thousand followers and in general only show comments from accounts with at least 666 followers".

Minoosh,

Stacko posted this earlier in the thread,

This is from November 5:
"May God be w/ the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The FBI & law enforcement are on the scene. I am monitoring the situation from Japan."
He did a copy & paste and forgot to change the city. Best people.

I understand from reading about it yesterday, he took the tweet from the Sutherland Springs mass shooting obviously referencing what happened in California.

Just went to look, the newer one is gone.

It's beyond boneheaded. It's almost like performance art. Like Borat, trolling the good people of the United States to see how bad he can insult them before they catch on that they are being punked.

As far as detractors, I doubt if he ever scrolls below his own words. Why would he?

Yes! I enjoy reading the general "you suck, go away" posts.
(Because I like to think it is a good representation of the truth.)

Trump does not read one word of the "haters", he is making pronouncements from on high. :D

I have found most of his "rabid" supporters are trolls or bots.

Very few of the "good job" posts are real people.
