Well, to quote F. Scott Fitzgerald.

“The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless yet be determined to make them otherwise.”

The latter parts being the important ones, you don't just stop at holding two, or professing two opposing ideas. You have to functionally work to the realization of one.

I don't even think it is the roids that is the primary driver here. Who in the world is wondering, "What happened to Donald Trump? He was such a rock of stability - a stable genius if you will. Something seems to have intervened. I know! It must be the steroids!"

Trump is and has always been a petulant child who finds it hard to separate what is happening to him as what is happening in the universe in general.

The roids only keep him upright when he should be in bed recuperating.

Think of it: Comey and McCabe insisted on including a dossier, whose contents came 100% from a source they'd investigated as a suspected Russian agent, in a U.S. intelligence assessment on Russia. They deliberately tainted US intel on Russia with Russian disinformation
