Somehow I don't think that's actually going down so well with Trump. There's criticism within the "compliment" and I'm not sure he can stand that.

Eric Trump claimed Saturday that the coronavirus will “magically” vanish after the November election and allow the country to fully reopen — an assertion that has no basis in science and is contradicted by health experts worldwide.

In an interview with Fox News’s Jeanine Pirro, Trump suggested the president’s critics were using the pandemic to undermine his father’s rallies, calling it a “cognizant strategy” that would cease once it was no longer politically expedient.

“You watch, they’ll milk it every single day between now and November 3," the younger Trump said. "And guess what, after November 3, coronavirus will magically, all of a sudden, go away and disappear and everybody will be able to reopen.”

On the other hand, President Trump’s brain is a black box.
It is possible that he is proud of being called vain, insensitive, and raw.

Spend money publicizing the first ten and then just send out press releases - a lot of news agencies will consider the LotD to be news and will cover it for free.

That is just the right pace. The media will call the WH and ask for a response. Trump’s administration won’t have time to provide a useful response. Trump will insist on saying something stupid. And the 24-hour news cycle doesn’t care about yesterday, so if the GOP responds to something that is more than 18 hours old, it won’t be covered as much as today’s LotD.

Remember the goal is not really to get people curious about either of these, the goal is to piss off the president and wait for whatever stupid response he gives. The man is incapable of ignoring something.

It uses a good idea and uses one of the Trumps own ways of behaving, so no need to get drawn into a discussion about yesterday's lie, it's always about today's lie.

I read the junior junior Drumpf's statement about the virus disappearing the day after the election as his less than subtle way of calling it a Dem hoax, or at least a greatly exaggerated nothingberder. Once the election is won (by whomever), the Dems will gain nothing by harping on about their former weapon. It would be now toothless against the Orange Excrescence if he won, or a hindrance for them if in power.

Unless he's trying to signal that once the distraction of the election campaigning is behind him, Daddy will put on his tights and cape and beat the snot outta the virus.
