The Trump Presidency: Part 18

Has Trump referred to the booing and chanting, or has he gone on as if it never happened?

I just wanted to share this charming photo I found, and this seemed like an appropriate place.

This is fascinating. Middle kid is supposed to be Obama; girl is supposed to be Clinton. All very well dressed but photographed outside mobile home. Hmm...

None look happy. Girl especially looks like she can't wait to break free from the idiotic indoctrination in which she's currently entrapped. Boy in blackface is supposed to be Obama but he's represented as so much literally darker than Obama's skin tone.

This may be a manifestation of some underlying disorder. Below is an op-ed on the subject by the editor of Forbes business magazine. In September 2015 he was with Trump, working on a story for the magazine, when he joined Trump at a balcony of Trump Tower to watch Pope Francis' motorcade pass:

For once, Trump didn’t seem to be looking for wider attention: “I’ll look like an idiot. ... This is the pope’s day.” But from below, the crowd saw him, and when he waved from his perch, an orange-haired Juan Perón, I heard and almost felt the rumble: jeers, whistles, boos, anger, all in our direction. So how did this Manhattan prince react to the Bronx cheer? I figured the candidate, like most politicians, would laugh, take his lumps and glibly shrug it off. Instead, Trump turned to me. “Ninety percent positive,” he immediately said. “Ninety percent is pretty good. You’ll take that in an election right away.” He said it so quickly, with such conviction that I doubted my own ears. My audio recorder, however, was running and it had far less doubt: through a smattering of applause, the boos overwhelmed.

The president has tweeted more than 11,000 times since his inauguration, taking on anyone who criticizes him, whether dead war heroes or teenage climate activists. Yet he didn’t tweet once about the aural drubbing at the World Series. For the UFC, where the reaction was more mixed, he let others defend him, retweeting three claims that the cheers outranked the boos—including one with audio that flatly describes what to objective ears sounds hostile as a “positive reaction.” Link

The Governor of California, @GavinNewsom, has done a terrible job of forest management. I told him from the first day we met that he must “clean” his forest floors regardless of what his bosses, the environmentalists, DEMAND of him. Must also do burns and cut fire stoppers.....

..Every year, as the fire’s rage & California burns, it is the same thing-and then he comes to the Federal Government for $$$ help. No more. Get your act together Governor. You don’t see close to the level of burn in other states...But our teams are working well together in.....

....putting these massive, and many, fires out. Great firefighters! Also, open up the ridiculously closed water lanes coming down from the North. Don’t pour it out into the Pacific Ocean. Should be done immediately. California desperately needs water, and you can have it now!

It's hit and miss in rural America on this stuff.

Yeah, here in small town America it's not so much in your face MAGA, it's the fact that no one recycles and that so many sweet, lovely people just go along quietly with the most heinous Trump/GOP crimes against humanity with nary a peep of dissent. Why? 1) Intentional ignorance. 2) Religious indoctrination and Fox News have taught them that conservatism is next to godliness. They can't see through the shroud that has them convinced that liberal = bad Christian = poisoned in the mind by demons.

You cannot reason them out of these attitudes because they have not been reasoned into them.

UFC president Dana White has praised Trump for backing the UFC early on—including agreeing to host fights at his venues and watching from the front row. “Nobody took us seriously. Nobody. Except Donald Trump. Donald was the first guy to recognize the potential we saw in the UFC”

Walking into Madison Square Garden last night with @danawhite for the big @UFC Championship fight was a little bit like walking into a Trump Rally. Plenty of MAGA & KAG present. Great energy. Fantastic job Dana! Heading to D.C. and then to Kentucky for a big @MattBevin Rally...

....Matt has been a GREAT Governor. Kentucky (I Love You!), please be sure to vote for Matt Bevin on TUESDAY. Matt will never let you down, and we have to send a strong signal to Nancy Pelosi and the Radical Left Democrats. See you on Monday night, VOTE TUESDAY!!!

Goodness. I thought it was a mockery of Trump, having completely missed that the middle kid was wearing blackface. I genuinely interpreted it as Trump loathing minorities and women generally (I couldn't read the signs either).

Thank you to @OANN for the absolutely incredible Special Report narrated by @PearsonSharp. Seldom do the American people get to see journalistic work of this quality. Now it would be great if the legitimate sections of law enforcement would study your SMEARS, SPIES AND LIES....

...and FEDERAL CONTRACTOR SPIES stories. The finest law enforcement on the planet could not have shown a ROADMAP like that which was produced by you. @OANN should be VERY proud of this great work. I wish more people were seeking the facts and the truth. Keep it up!

Many people listened to my phone call with the Ukrainian President while it was being made. I never heard any complaints. The reason is that it was totally appropriate, I say perfect. Republicans have never been more unified, and my Republican Approval Rating is now 95%!

I have a friend attending #UFC244, and he told me he heard nothing but cheers from his section.
Absolutely incredible how the media takes one clip, and creates the narrative that everyone was booing.
It’s ********.

At some level, he probably understands, otherwise he would have already been booed throwing the first pitch in a season opener.

Either that, or deep down he knows how ridiculous he'd look out there.

Read this thread on Twitter about dementia and Trump's behaviour:

It's increasingly long, but has a fair bit on his stance:

for example.

He'd probably topple over if he actually tried to throw a ball

Big surprise, the Trump nits who grew into lice continue to lie about their international business. The nation would be such a better place if Trump had paid for just three additional abortions.
In a recent Fox News interview, Eric, discussing Hunter's dealings, noted that "the difference between us and Hunter is when my father became commander-in-chief of this country, we got out of all international business, right?"

Why do they do it? Why not just keep your mouth shut? He must have known someone would check.

So, is he just a pathological liar like his dad? Or is it a purposeful lie aimed at the low information voters they know watch Fox?

Jesus Trump is ******* stupid. Most of the fires impacting homes aren't forest fires, they are urban interface fires. The actual forest fires are mostly on land controlled by...you guessed it, the US Forest Service.

I wonder if Trump actually wrote this because it's largely true.

Except Newsom is just the new guy on the block. This has been California's M.O. for decades. Water is what has been fought for over the past century - forget the gold rush.

Here's one con he doesn't mention. That whole "dumping water into the ocean" bit is probably referring to the amount of water we release from reservoirs to supposedly save fish species like the Delta Smelt.

What actually happens is that the water gets sold down south, and at a large profit for some private investors.

The "saving the Smelt by cooling the Delta" is just the excuse for releasing the water so it can be sold. Nobody cares about the quite literal handful of smelt that are seen in the waterways (I believe 6 were observed a few years ago).

In fact two forty-foot tunnels were to be built beneath the Delta itself to move water away from the area. Now that plan is being changed to maybe a single tunnel. Opponents say this will destroy the Delta ecosystem allowing salt water to move further inland, among other things.

Yep. A (or two) forty foot tall tunnel beneath the Delta water system. What could go wrong?

Finally, during the droughts we all learned that almond trees use an insane amount of water, yet more and more almond orchards appear every year. Guess where some of that water is to be diverted? The almond growers! Big money baby!

Nobody seems to care about the actual water shortage, it's just another way of making money for these people. The water literally goes to the highest bidders.

The worst part of this is, in my opinion, we now have a large group of American citizens who back someone they KNOW is no good but they don't care. Trump HASN'T revived coal mining, he HASN'T brought blue-collar manufacturing jobs back to the USA, he HASN'T unveiled a healthcare system that "covers everybody and is cheaper than Obamacare," he HASN'T crafted a tax plan that favors working-class taxpayers, he HASN'T slowed illegal immigration, he HASN'T even even built the wall. But they don't care because rooting for him feels so good!

Just to poke at this a little and rant, when Warren released a method to pay for her healthcare plan that doesn't raise taxes on the middle-class at all, that was paired up on... NBC News, I think, with an opinion article about how Trump's healthcare plan was more popular than hers because Trump's plan would let people keep their insurance plans. My reaction, of course, was WTF? He has no plan, so the writer there was being extremely irresponsible, at very, very best.
