Just to reiterate what has happened:

Trump has unilaterally made the US abandon a long standing ally that has fought alongside US troops against ISIS. The result will be many dead US allies and the probable release of ISIS prisoners, which will lead to a possible resurgence of ISIS and an increase in terror attacks in the US and Europe.

This is what Trump supporters have to defend.

Fools trusted the US would behave honorably, they had it coming, we would never honor our word to Muslims. Remember this is a christian country after all.

Nope doesn't seem a hard sell to republicans, Islamophobia is after all a key trait that got Trump elected.

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, who gave money to a political action committee supporting Trump, “conspired to circumvent the federal laws against foreign influence by engaging in a scheme to funnel foreign money to candidates for federal and State office so that the defendants could buy potential influence with candidates, campaigns, and the candidates’ governments,” according to an indictment in U.S. District Court in Manhattan.

It doesn't look like Trump was directly involved here, but it says something about the integrity of his campaign and administration if he is attracting these type of people.

Oh, and remember, the FEC currently does not have enough members to properly enforce laws.

If you want to go back even further, the Ottoman Empire (which sort of evolved into Turkey) was actually one of the countries fighting the Allied powers (of which the United States was one.) back in world war 1.

Well the entente powers. The allied powers being from the Triple Alliance would morph mostly into the Central Powers. Italy changing sides of course as it was a defensive alliance and they argued that Austria Hungary attacked Bosnia starting it all off.

Tillerson is another one of those people I keep wondering about when thinking about ex-Trump staffers who might be sharing stories with alleged Republican leadership. They really could just be spending their time golfing though.

The President of the Ukraine just stated again, in the strongest of language, that President Trump applied no pressure and did absolutely nothing wrong. He used the strongest language possible. That should end this Democrat Scam, but it won’t, because the Dems & Media are FIXED.

He keeps expecting to get traction with the Ukrainian president’s denials. I don’t think it will work though.

It must kill him that Ukraine finally got the aid. Maybe with some kickbacks to Trump but I hope not.

Also, NBC reported today that Trump has 119 separate business interests in Turkey. It’s not just the tower.

I saw something about that, and, I think that is referring to something Clinton was quoting, not something she actually said. There was an article or post or something that she shared that pretty much laid out exactly what could happen with Trump, how his business dealings in Turkey could lead him to abandon our support for the Kurds and leave it vulnerable for Turkey to attack.

She didn't write it, but recognized it and shared it along, basically endorsing it. And this was in 2016.

Sure, they are popular when they arrest and eliminate political opposition like Putin did.

I think that a concerted right-wing campaign will manage to pin the blame for the disastrous Brexit on the EU to the extent that 50%-60% of the UK population will end up believing it - more if Scotland achieves independence.

I wouldn't be shocked to find that the GOP discovers that a sitting President cannot be sued. That kinda makes sense because otherwise the next Democratic Party could find her/himself neck deep in lawsuits from day 1 in office.

He most certainly can be sued, though. In fact, I think he's got a few active lawsuits currently.

It's possible that there's a bit of a generational issue at work here, now that I think about it. In the mid `90s I took a History of Japan course as an elective in college. My mother, who was born in 1945, responded "Why do you want to study them? They attacked us!" More than 50 years after an attack that happened before she was born, the war was still the primary driver of her attitude in this area.

Regardless, Tillerson is someone who needs to be testifying on camera during the impeachment.
