The Tim Walz campaign, and the ******** attacks upon him.

9 year old clearly do not need menstrual products they are wasting prime childbearing years not getting pregnant and forced to give birth.

In politics, if your opponent is lying, it needs exposure.

From the crowd saying their opponent wrote about how he ****** a couch? Walz even made a joke about it in his big speech.

Also, what I wrote wasn't a lie, it was literally true. Wasn't the whole truth.

My father was a labor leader and heavily involved in Washington State Democratic politics 50 years ago. He strongly believed in free lunches not just for needy students. But for all students. He thought no kid should ever go without a meal. And he was not a radical.

Indeed, and it's not like this is a hard one to explain - It's the law, and we abide by it. Plus, it's the right thing to do!

The latest one is Walz had the state flag redesigned to resemble Somalia's.

I've wondered over the last 8 years whether or not at some point enough people on the right will just get tired enough of this **** to really cause a drop in support. Not voting against even, just saying **** it I'm sitting out this time.

I doubt it, but hope springs eternal. Speaking of that, I do think it's cool that the Walz's named their daughter conceived via IVF Hope.

Minneapolis does have a pretty good sized Somalia population, so I wouldn't be shocked if there was some form of inspiration. I believe the flag ideas were submissions from the community. The good question is why would people care?

I bet it would blow their mind comparing Texas and Puerto Rico flags.

I don't understand what you're bitching about. What's crazy about it? Just that they're in the boys bathroom? Who gives a rats ass if there are tampons in the boys bathrooms? If that's going to be considered crazy then the Dems can use the same bat **** crazy defense that the GOP is using in Louisiana wrt the 10 commandment posters, if you don't like it, just don't look at it. It's not like the thing is shooting ******* tampons at boys when they're walking by, or blowing a horn every time someone comes close.

If that's what you consider crazy then no wonder the GOP is the laughing stock of the planet.

In case you hadn't noticed, the 'couch' bit was discussed here and accepted as being false. Like I said, falsehoods need exposing.

Walz said, “I can’t wait to debate the guy. That is, if he’s willing to get off the couch and show up.”

Making a joke about a meme going around isn't claiming it was true.

Also, what I wrote wasn't a lie, it was literally true. Wasn't the whole truth.

Did I say, or even imply, in my post that it was a lie? No. What I did was explain the law in MN that pertained to the topic.

So he clearly was an outright communist.

You'd think there would be based on the claim. Here they are (MN on the right):

According to Republicans....yes. But he's in good company. Republicans accuse all Democrats of being Communists. It goes with the territory of thinking that everyone is important and not just your donors.

From Politifact:

CLAIM:
Tim Walz “changed the Minnesota flag so it could resemble the Somalian flag.”

FINDING: FALSE

After a monthslong selection process, a Minnesota commission chose a new design for the state’s flag that was adopted May 11.

The flag includes a star and blue coloring, as does Somalia’s national flag, but Somalia’s flag was not an inspiration, said a Minnesota man whose flag concept inspired the final design.

The Minnesota flag has an eight-pointed star, while Somalia’s star is five-pointed. The dark blue surrounding the star on the Minnesota flag represents the state’s shape and the light blue on the right represents the state’s abundant lakes and rivers.

Minnesota’s Legislature in 2023 established the State Emblems Redesign Commission to replace the state’s flag and seal. The state flag had been in use since 1957 and featured a Native American riding away on horseback while a white settler plowed his field — a design considered offensive by some of the state’s Native American population because it symbolized their displacement.
The new flag was chosen after a monthslong selection process that drew 2,128 design entries.
"Governor Walz did not have a seat on the commission and did not have approval over the flag design or adoption," Cassondra Knudson, a spokesperson for Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon — a voting member of the commission — told PolitiFact in an email.

I think the flag sorely needed one more stripe - a white one - to represent snow. And maybe even a green one, for the trees. I know those options were among the many submitted, but not chose.

What about the state flag of Hawaii and any number of British territories?

I do like an attack to the effect of "Tim Walz embellished his record!" "Tim Walz only tells you the good things about himself!" No ****, so has everyone else.

Also, my cowardly father retired from the Navy rather than go to Viet Nam. What they hell, that's your line of attack. He almost certainly retired a little earlier than planned to not go to Iraq which is what almost anyone else would.

No they wouldn't.

I get that he's folksy and funny (that bit with his daughter at the fair was really quite good). But yeah, tampons in the 4th grade boy's room and the whole "sanctuary state for trans kids" are two things that aren't going to expand the ticket's appeal. They appear to have done this to try to nail down the left flank, but as always it comes with the risk of alienating the "normie" voters.

Again, my chief concern is the EC math; if he was the governor of Pennsylvania, I'd applaud the choice.

I don't think the "normie" voter cares enough to veto vote the trans policies.
