The Thread of Master Lists

And another attendee--WonderfulWorld, a long time (registered December 2002) but infrequent (total 59 posts in about 3 years).

Love that name, though...

I have an idea (well, it happens!) for Wednesday dinner.

Let's go to the Stardust buffet. When we make our first trip to the buffet, let's not stack up, but instead get small portions. When we refill (as much as we have stomach for), we don't go back to our own seat, but find another at another table with Forumites.

That way, we will meet a lot of people during one dinner.

A few updates...

I sent the last list of Forumites to Paul for Girl6 to badge. There is, by my reckoning, 114 folks who have posted or have announced their intentions to come to TAM4 who have posted this year in the JREF Forums (I say it this way to include several of our suspended brethern).

I also know of 10 folks coming with various forumites (probably more than that). While I am sure that some may not make it for good reason and many will have other things to do than planned Forum activities, there should be one heck of a crowd around and anyone who can't find someone else to share an activity just ain't trying hard enough.

I have printed out the entire list of names (120 copies) and will bring it with me for anyone who wants to be able to figure out who is around (heck, use it like the old kids game and check off the names of everybody you meet/talk to/shake hands with/hug/have sex with (hey, I just suggested the game, you decide on the criteria)  :D :D

In regards to events, I'll also make a copy of those that will fit on one page and bring a bunch of them with me. Two additions and one amendment to the list on the front page of this thread:

1. The Bellagio Buffet--Friday Night at 6PM, for those that can't handle real Thai cooking. Probably need to meet about 5:30 so you can get there before the crowds. Cost is about $35.00 for the big feast. The point of contact for this is LOON

2. The Gun Store--Saturday immediately after the TAM4 session (5:00-6:30PM). Hutch is going and has room in the minivan for 5-6 more folks. The point of contact is, not surprisingly, HUTCH Appeals to stop at Fatburger for dinner will be favorably received. ;)

AMENDMENT--Thursday's dinner at the Peppermill is planned for 6:30-8:30pm to allow for folks to be at the Reception for 90 minutes or so. However, the Poker Tournament is due to start at 7:45PM. I therefore suggest all Poker players who wish to dine with the other folks arrive at the Peppermill no later than 6:15, so we can order and be relatively sure that we will be out in time to make the first deal.

There will of course be lots of other stuff--I don't have the Star Trek experience, the karioke, and other things that have been discussed shown because nobody took the bull by the horns and got it done and scheduled and took the lead. Not that all of those things won't be done--it'll just be up to the various bunches and groups and individuals to do them as their schedules allow.

OK, enough pontificating. Got another printing run to do.

Not a bad idea, but I have a date with kitty and kitten...:p :D

I will be at breakfast in the Stardust Buffet at about 0830 Thursday morning, if anyone wishes to meet up there. Same rules as Larsen has suggested.

And I will poke my head in, yell "Nerds!" and make an unfunny joke about 20 sided dice.

Go ahead, I made peace with my inner nerd a long time ago, no choice I help run a sci fi convention and a gaming convention and attend GenCon every year (I now buy my ticket online the first day available and book my room at the same time so I can get the best hotel). So, NERD I am, and proud of it :D

Hutch, you do notice that in your above post, you´ve just added Gulliamo to the attendee list twice? :p
He did that on purpose. Once for me and once for Mrs. Gulliamo. He knows what he is doing, trust him. :D
