The Tea Party is Not Racist

No, really. Stop laughing. So the leader of the Tea Party Express gets on TV to defend his group from charges of racism. Then the next day, he writes this.

Highlights?

Performance art. There's really no other explanation. The Tea Party is being secretly run by Andy Kaufman.

Speaking of racisim in the Tea Party, ...

Did anyone else notice this bit from Billy Roper who is running for governor of Arkansas and who also happens to be a proud member of the Tea Party?

...

I don't want non-whites in my country in any form or fashion or any status

...

didn't one of the Tea-Leaders say that Muslims worship a monkey-God and that Muhammed was a predophile?

Actually, that was Mark Williams, too. He also called Obama an "Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug".

Yawn. Racist - the most overused word in the Obama era.
Pshhh! Hit the average conservative just below the knee cap with a small rubber hammer and instead of their leg kicking out they'll bleat "socialism!"

Bob [Owens] describes (BAC - here: http://biggovernment.com/bowens/201...he-tea-party-as-evidence-of-tea-party-racism/ ) how Think Progress, a blog founded by the George Soros insidious group The Center for American Progress (CAP) (and a very influential group inside the Obama administration), is putting out false propaganda to paint the Tea Party as racist. Days after the NAACP passed a resolution calling all Tea Party members as racist. Think there is no coordination going on with this White House?

:D

I'm sure he is just being ironic.

It's not actually ironic, if you want to use, you know, English. They were formed to promote the advancement of "colored" people at a time when "colored" people couldn't legally use the same restaurant counter as you.
I guess the NAACP is the one with the English problem then as they continue to call themselves by what is now considered a racist term, while other organizations have discarded the racist term. So the irony continues.

I love it when white guys complain about this kind of stuff, or the stuff Williams was trying to poke at in his fake letter.

You poor, poor, set-upon white men-- when will the injustices upon you end?

Though I don't doubt that this guy, as well as many other Tea Partiers are racist, the term "coloreds" is a remnant of bygone days, but a name that many blacks still attach to themselves. What does NAACP stand for?

I think with the NAACP it is more a case of that name having such huge name recognition then anything else.

Mark Williams is an A Hole and a bigot. His bigotry got him fired KFBK, the original Conservative Talk Station (Yes, it's the Sacramento station that gave Limbaugh his start as a conservative talk show host ) here in Sacramento. The guy is currently waging a war against the local GOP because they want nothing to do with him.

Thanks for the context, dudalb. That actually clears up a lot about how representative this guy likely is (as in probably not much) of the right in general, though it still is a blemish on the "Tea Party Express" contingent of the Tea Party, which as I recall is a faction that the larger association of Tea Partiers has eschewed for right-wing-nuttery, am I correct?

More like it coincided with Obama increased pace of deficit spending that Bush started.

TARP was signed into law by George Bush in October 2008.

There were no Tea Party protests against TARP until February 2009.

Your theory doesn't provide an explanation for this particular phenomenon.
