Nothing is going to come of this. Sessions and company just want the public forum to call Comey a liar, complain about leaking, and claim executive privilege to refuse to answer anything he doesn't want to.

Power of positivity, man! He's going to throw Trump under the bus and chain himself to the desk until Trump gets removed!

(smoke 'em if you got 'em I say)

Does anyone seriously believe that when Sessions perjures himself again in congress that there will be any consequences?

I want someone to ask him how they can be sure he won't commit perjury this time.

Sadly, I agree with you.

My guess is he wouldn't be going to testify if he didn't have his pat answers down.

If he commits perjury, apparently it's no biggie

I expect him to perjure the **** out of himself and not give a flying ****

Unless he has a side deal with Pence and knows Pence is not caught up in this, pretty much if Trump goes, Sessions goes.

With all the softballs being tossed, they could get a pretty good game going.

When asked, when did Sessions first talk to Rosenstein about his concerns over Comey's handling of the Clinton investigation, his answer was just after the election.

Here's a news report on his feelings about Comey at that time:
At the same time, Sessions — then an Alabama senator — also commended Comey.

“He had an absolute duty, in my opinion, 11 days (before the election) or not to come forward with the new information that he has and let the American people know that too,” Sessions said Oct. 30 on Fox Business.

Six days later, he said on Fox News that Comey “did the right thing.”

AG Sessions praised Comey's handling of Clinton email investigation during the 2016 election
Sessions, then a senator for the state of Alabama and a surrogate for the Trump campaign, told Lou Dobbs on the FOX Business Network the night of the October letter's release that the FBI director had done his duty.

"[Comey has] done what his duty is, I think," Sessions told anchor Lou Dobbs. "He's got evidence to go forward now with further criminal investigation. He has no other responsibility than to follow that and then tell the American people what he's doing."...

Sessions defended Comey again in interview on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures on November 6th, 2016, shortly before Comey closed the investigation.

"You know, FBI Director Comey did the right thing when he found new evidence," Sessions told anchor Maria Bartiromo. "He had no choice but to report to the American Congress where he had under oath testified. The investigation was over. He had to correct that and say, this investigation is ongoing now. I'm sure it's significant or else he wouldn't have announced that."

These guys don't care if their statements are refutable from the record. If they give a fake answer, enough people in the right wing will believe the fake answer that the truth matters not.

There's a marked contrast between his occasional laser-guided memory where he can remember the tiniest of details about the legal ramifications of his recusal, and the times were he's jess a reg'lar ole country moron and he cain't remember anyone ever meetin' with no Russians at all.

The ****ery that Sessions is spewing.

"I can't answer that because the President might want to invoke his constitutional privilege to executive privilege."

Oh geez, McCain. I didn't watch the Comey investigation so I don't know how this stacks up, but wow. Dude is going downhill fast.
