Apparently, the people behind "The Secret" didn't reveal everything about the Law of Attraction. So Joe Vitale has bought out the Missing Secret they kept from the suckers who bought the DVD.

DVD #1: Joe speaks at the Austin World Wellness Weekend.

The event, held in Austin, TX in February 2007, featured Deepak Chopra and Joe Vitale as keynote speakers

:mgbanghead

What a select company

Here's his book:
(Disclaimer: I'm not recomending anyone purchase this drivel.)
It reveals the untold secret:
If The Secret isn't working as advertised, it's because you have some limiting belief such as:

I don't deserve great wealth.
Great welth isn't spiritual.
We can't have every thing we want in life.
You have to put in some effort to get what you want.
The Universe isn't a vending machine.
And as many more "limiting beliefs as neccessary. He will help you find your own limiting belief.

This isn't new, anymore than The Secret" is. My ex-girlfriend has been searching for her limiting beliefs for frive years or so. Every now and then she annouces she's discovered her limiting belief and is changing it. The last one she shared with me was her "fear of dissapointing people." Success might lead to her doing something others would find dissaponting, so she avoids success. (She didn't avoid dissapponting me.) Once she has purged herself of all her limiting beliefs then she expects her positive beliefs will reap huge income. In the meanwhile, she and others, shell out the bucks to "life coaches" who claime they can reprogram her to "abundance."

At dinner tonight I overheard 4 women talking about The Secret and I'm happy to report that they all agreed that it's bull-crap. I'm always pleased when I am reminded that not everybody's loopy.

So The Secret is in fact Better Than Life?
Just watched that (again) 2 days ago--you are absolutely right. If The Secret does not work for you, that would be evidence that you are a complete smeghead.

You bet your bottom dollar!

The Secret (AKA Law of Attraction) always works, because no matter what happens, you attracted it!

Want to get your ex-boyfriend or girlfriend back? Just imagine it. If it s/he doesn't come running back to your arms, it isn't because s/he has a will of her own, but because a part of you didn't want hir back after all. "clear" those misgivings, and s/he'll be attracted right back to you, even if s/he's married someone else in the interum.

So, if you are still in poverty or have a chronic or even terminal illness, you are getting just what you richly deserve.

From The Onion:

The Secret—the new self-help book and DVD that purports to channel ancient wisdom and claims that if you ask the universe for something, it will be delivered—has become a nationwide phenomenon. Here are some of the book's tips:

You deserve whatever you want no matter how awful you are

Try not to use any critical-thinking skills or logic when pondering concept of The Secret

Capitalizing on basic human feelings such as greed can bring you vast wealth

Eat a hearty breakfast every day

Please allow universe six to eight millennia to deliver

You can never be too tan

The Secret does not work if you are attempting to learn it from stolen, bootlegged, or borrowed products from Prime Time Productions

*lol* The Onion =

Btw, I forgot to mention above that after reading the title of this thread I first thought it was about Adolf's "secret" V2 rockets.

I have a bit of a problem. My mom is 77, sick a lot, on oxygen most of the time and depressive. She tends to watch Oprah a bit too fervently, and has recently sent me "The Secret" as well as something I think is called "What the bleep do we know?"

My problem is this; she recently came very near death and has sent these DVDs to me telling me how they have helped her cope with her illness and given her hope that life goes on in some form after death.

She knows I'm a skeptic, hell I gave her the box set of P&T's Bullsh#t!! Somehow she thinks that since this religious claptrap is disguised as "Quantum" that it is somehow scientific and thereby plausible.

I can't bear to dissuade her from this...not this time. I'm beaten. How can I take her hope from her? Yet at the same time I find myself advising her not to spend too much money on this stuff...and definitely not to come off any meds based on this woo.

What else can I do that doesn't take away from her this hope she seems to have found?

And BTW,...I could friggin' kill the creeps that are getting rich off this!!

Years ago someone told me, "don't tear down someone's shack unless you have something better for them to move into."
Ah, but they don't always see that what you have is better for them.
That's why, the best thing to do is give her the real secret, which is to pay her a son's loving respect and attention and encourage her in her own strengths. Give her non-judgenmental attention. Let her be herself, even if for the time being she's into some nonsense. Just ve there for her. At the moment kucking the crutch or even making it the subject, rather than her, is counterproductive.

You can be honest and say "The Secret" doesn't do anything for you.
Just encourage her in affirming her own life for itself. She has that within her, or she'd have just spit at The Secret in bitterness.

However, here's the exception. If she wants to gey into the MLM scam these guys are now running, tell her why these things are unsound.

Giving hope is good, selling hope isn't.

I'd pretty much do the same thing if my parents fell in for some of this crap at a base level. Try to keep them from falling further in.

Thanks...good advice...I'm trying.

Well the secret is wishing for what you want only works if you have the triforce.

This might not be the best thread for this, but the Kansas City Star has invited people to share their experiences with The Secret.

Had a Secret experience?

lindaP, I'm sorry to tell you that I do not like your very first post in this forum here. Let alone your suspicious sounding e-mail address, may I ask if you are part of the affiliate program to spread this "report"?

This program was engineered by Stephen Pierce. Released together with the launch of this site is the exclusive FREE Report on Attraction Acceleration - An intereview of Bob Proctor by Stephen Pierce.
