The Secret Lives of Bigfoot Hunters

I tend to consider this program in a similar way to "Top Gear" (the old one...)

My father used to complain that it wasn't a "proper" car show - of course, it's an "entertainment" show, not really meant to be taken too seriously...

The people involved in the Bigfoot show are doing this for entertainment, and to make loads of money, IMHO.

Doesn't actually matter where they look for Bigfoot on the show, since the odds of finding him are exactly the same in any location. But you have to change up the scenery, highlight the local angle in order make one episode somehow distinguishable from the last.

I disagree that the show is awful. Well, it might be, but I still somehow watch them all. I think they do a good job with drone/scenery shots. I enjoy laughing at the stupid things Bobo, Cliff and Matt say. As for Ranae, I don't find her very inspiring and her critiques are often sub adequate, but who knows how she is edited or scripted.

I can't watch for longer than 10mins without feeling embarrassed and annoyed. I generally hate the way it's set-out, like Monster-Quest. It's as though they feel the viewer may have forgotten what happened 5mins before, and feel the need to keep repeating something trivial that happened, on a loop. Idk whether that's just something they do on American programming due to so many advert-breaks, but it's *********** annoying.

Idk who would be the more annoying team of people, it's a close one. Between Bobo and Clarkeson! Jesus...

They did an episode in the Santa Cruz Mountains, in California. I live 15 miles from the area. There has NEVER been a credible Bigfoot sighting in the Santa Cruz Mountains. You'd think this would slow them down but no, off into the redwoods they go. Unlike the Pacific Northwest, the Santa Cruz Mountains are surrounded by civilization on all sides, and there are NO Native American legends nor folklore of giant hairy beasts in the area.

There was zero reason to investigate the Santa Cruz Mountains. Five minutes on Google could have saved them a trip.

And like someone said, many of the "Bigfoot Hotspots" they investigate are prime Marijuana growing regions. Santa Cruz has great stuff...I'm told...

I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains and have for over 50 years, and there are plenty of Bigfoot believers here. They actually have meetings and searches and a Bigfoot club. There is also a Bigfoot museum! Never been, but I assume it is an empty building... I asked one of the members, who is a friend, why he believes and he simply stated that there are too many eye witness accounts for it not to be real. :jaw-dropp As to the Marijuana growing region...was going to plead the fifth but alas, you are correct. Great stuff. Maybe I will open a Mary Jane museum.
