The Russian Invasion of Ukraine Part 4

We have a saying here in German which goes like "Hochmut kommt vor dem Fall", something like "Pride goes before the fall".
Oh the irony.

I hate war
What a huge and ugly lie, coming from the Ruscist who so frequently lols and laughs and expresses unabashed amusement at so many angles of this atrocious Ruscist war crime operation.

..."Western" arrogance of the US and your island's "elites" makes these people die in the Ukraine. ...
A bigger, uglier lie has never been told in the history of mankind.
Not a single man, woman or child has been killed by "Western arrogance" nor by the USA nor by the UK.
It's exclusively the Ruscists who do ALL of that killing. Day in, day out.

The Al Bundy analogy is very funny but not for the intended reason.

I remember seeing the Russian version of Married with Children in 2009. It was a licensed redo of the American TV show. Even recycled the scripts. I knew exactly what would happen when I watched it since I had seen the original. Curiously, my Russian friends preferred the American version because it was better than the unoriginal knock off made for Russian audiences.

Russian men often identified with Al Bundy. When I asked why I was told that "Al has a Russian soul".

The Russian weapon here has not been seen because like most of Russia's new weapons, they cannot afford to actually build them. Reliving their glory days is most definitely a Russian thing.

Yeah, funny story but of course total BS. "Married with Children" was one of the first series RTL, the first private Television, broadcasted after the Helmut Kohl regime made private TV legal in the mid 80s. In German it was called "Eine schrecklich nette Familie". You can ask every German about El (sorry, Al) Bundy and they will have an opinion. The assessment of Maryanov about the essence of the story is absolutely right.

And Al's stories about his four touchdowns in highschool are indeed a valid comparison to what these clowns put out about their effort to hurt Russia.

I hate these killing machines, whether they are Russian or American. I hate war like every sober human should do. But what you reap there is what you sowed. "Western" arrogance of the US and your island's "elites" makes these people die in the Ukraine. Because they thought there won't be, can't be, an answer to their machinations.

Odd, because a lot of your posts seem to be gloating about Russian weapons and their capabilities

That's the kind of humour you have seconds before a GRAD missile hits your trench.

As well as denying clear cases of Russian war crimes.

Explosions rock Ukrainian port hours after grain deal

Just a day after the agreement to not target port facilities and grain ships in Odessa, two Russian rockets hot the city

Ukrainian military's southern command centre said two Kalibr missiles had hit the port, while two more had been shot down by air defence systems.

You keep using the word "Wunderwaffe"
"Wunderwaffe" is a weird flex. Rocket artillery isn't magic. Nobody's calling MLRS and MLRS-derived systems "wunderwaffe". They're just reliable and accurate rocket/missile artillery. Especially when directed by good recon. GPS positioning relative to the target is also an advantage.

The point is, the weapons that NATO are sending aren't "Wunderwaffe" they are standard NATO equipment, no "Wunderwaffe" have been sent, they just look like that because the stuff the Russians have is far less capable.
This is also a weird flex. The Soviets invested early and heavily in rocket artillery. It's no secret that they had many more launchers, with longer ranges, than the US did, by the end of the Cold War. MLRS and HIMARS were never going to win an artillery slugfest with their Russian counterparts. Nor were they ever intended to. Nor is that how they're being used in Ukraine.

The Russian stuff, as designed, at least, is quite capable. Its biggest weakness is probably that while it tends to out-range western artillery, its reliance on GLONASS makes it somewhat less accurate.

This is all before getting to the now-apparent Russian issues with maintenance, supply, training, morale, coordination, and leadership. So it's very likely that the Russians aren't getting full value from their rocket artillery right now.

The hope for Ukraine is that while they have less rocket artillery in inventory, they'll be able to get more value out of the western stuff than the Russians are getting out of their own stuff.

It isn't just a hope, it's already happening.
It's one of the things NATO relies on.

If those Russian weapons are so accurate, they must be hitting those hospitals, schools, apartments and shopping centres on purpose.

The HIMARS are indeed the current weapon basking it Twitter glory. You may have seen the "it's HIMARS O'Clock" comments and memes about along with the descriptions on how they were used with surgical precision th just damage the bridge across the Dnieper river enough to let civilian traffic pass yet prevent heavy equipment crossing.

Before HIMARS, it was the M777s getting all the glory.

I'm still not seeing any denial from Ukraine WRT four of these HIMARS units being destroyed.

Crap, overpaid junk by totally corrupt private entities against effective, fine engineering by state owned companies.

Please explain exactly what makes you think that, based on visual elements of both weapons systems.

I don't think you really have anything beyond the sort of "that one looks cooler" reasoning of a twelve-year-old boy.

Of course there is. Ample video of Tornado in action. Funny thing about the Martyanov video was how he pronounced "ATACMS". "Attack em's". That's the kind of "humour" the Yankistanis use in their weapons when they call them "Tomahawks", "Apaches" or whatever tribe they almost genocided. And the "PATRIOT Act". Laughable, but mass-murdering.

You'd be the expert on genocide being as you're actively supporting one.

The point that flew over your head is that the Tornado is a cheap imitation of US MLRS systems much like the Russian version of Married with Children is a poor copy of the original. Even with Al Bundy's flaws the Russians still would take the original if they could get it.

If the Russians had real evidence they'd destroyed a HIMARS, Valdy, Manboons, Putin would be jerking off all over it on Russian prime time news. Probably with his shirt off.

Pretty much an open secret there?

Russian propaganda/denials have no honesty requirement. They don't even have a plausibility requirement.

A captured Russian drone was inspected and one of it's sensors detects mobile phone signals. 21st century warfare.

Tbh I can see the use of such a sensor if you're expecting to use the drone against poorly equipped foes that rely on things like mobiles to coordinate.

Just like the Russians. They sign a deal on grain exports and then attack the port of Odessa. The only surprise is why the UN ever thought the Russians would keep their word. Scum.

(By Russians I mean the Russian government and security apparatus)
