There are a lot of people, all conservatives, who seem to be upset about the fact that the early draft of this decision was "leaked". I confess I am missing the significance of why the release a few days ahead of schedule of a document which, with a few minor edits, is destined to become entirely public anyway and which contains no secret or private information, is such a great evil as is being asserted.

I think it is to play victim.

"Supreme Court to abolish Roe vs Wade and bring back abortion bans!"
"What! This is an outrage! Who breached the sacred holy and divine covenant of the solemn silence of the Supreme Court? If we find out it is a Democrat, it will prove their Satanic purpose!"

It's a lot like Republicans being shocked about Cawthorn talking about Cocaine Orgies, but not actually denying their existence.

As I have said , I will somehow still be surprised if Roe is overturned. I don't see any reason it should be, nor is it something that I want to happen.

But I have to admit, if it is I will chuckle about it briefly. Just hearing the tormented screeching from all of the "activists" will be music to my ears. I mean, clearly it has already started.

What a kick in the balls for Democrats/liberals this will be.

I have, on occasion, found some validity to certain of your arguments, and it’s healthy the hear well reasoned counterpoints to what can seem to be “groupthink” on this forum.

But the above quote is just mean and provocative, and makes me question your real motivations. You may not care, but you’ve just alienated one of your few supporters here.

Or a whistleblower trying not to get fired. Or a POTUS trying to avoid something politically damaging, and to keep something from his wife.

My point is that "being a process crime" is not even close to enough information to judge the seriousness of it.

If a supreme court law clerk commits perjury because they didn't take a lawyer's advice to not answer questions......then I am unsympathetic.

I guess if anyone here wants to witness the tormented screeching of a conservative, they'll have to settle for the Forum Management Feedback section.

Allowing abortion does not obligate anyone to have an abortion. .

"Everything not forbidden is compulsory"

If they assume that everyone is secretly just as authoritarian as they are to make themselves feel better, then abortion being legal is only a small step away from forcing people to have abortions. It's just like the claim that allowing same-sex marriage was going to destroy opposite-sex marriage. The secret goal was obviously to eventually force everyone into same-sex marriages.

You have to wonder why Biden's DHS goons were out in the streets of LA with local cops beating up abortion protestors.

I've seen some liberal types talking big game about the need for sustained protest and civil disobedience in response to this decision, which I tend to agree with. I imagine there's going to be tremendous cognitive dissonance when their protests are violently squashed by cops, including feds that supposedly answer to a Democratic white house.

Some posts in this thread have been reported for alleged breaches of rule 12. Try to tone it down please. Let's try to have civil discourse instead of civil war please.

This is the answer. The people who don't care about bodily autonomy for women, especially during rape or a life threatened pregnancy are the same people who spent the last two years crying about having to wear a mask during a pandemic.

And the concern now isn't about the loss of established rights, its about it being leaked a week early.

They will always reverse victim and abuser as they have learned from their politicians and pundits.

Hey, everybody, who here had “Most repulsive comment” on their bingo card?
