The Professors Million Dollar Backlash

Spooky. He's almost a dead ringer.

Still, the question remains: What's that got to do with the Prof, and his claims? (Though, at least he has some taste.)

Nothing really,I just find it amusing he needs a teleprompter.;)

In one post in the Magic Café he said he has adult ADD. Maybe that could explain some things.

I don't know. While I think it's fully possible that he could have adult ADD, I don't think that in itself would explain much in his behaviour. I have been active on an ADHD forum and while the kind of poster "the professor" is can be found there too, it is in no way representative.

From day one, it seemed to me that The Professor was using the MDC, and this forum, to publicize his career as a magician

Well, I'd certainly never heard of him before several threads appeared on this forum about him, his MDC application and the shenanigans associated with it. I can't say I'm at all impressed by what I've learnt about him, but they do say there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Whether he does or not is irrelevant to the question of assembling a cogent set of parameters and a reasoned (and reasonable) protocol. He's had offers of help, he's had people show him how to prepare acceptable protocols. He's ignored it.

No protocol, no challenge. Sorry. The word is FAIL.

I am no expert on ADD or ADHD, at all. But I´ve followed a couple of threads on a swedish forum where a person behaved in much the same way as mr Koenig. Eventually he started a new topic where he explained (not excused) his behaviour and asked others to have this in mind and be a little bit patient when answering his posts. He said that when things got just a little bit heated he immediately got "carried away" in the extreme and didn´t think before he wrote. He could also get hung up on small, small details in arguments, almost never letting them go even when proven wrong. Coming off very, very childish (as mr Koenig).

Sorry, I was not trying to excuse him in any way. I followed the threads here and on Magic Café thinking to myself "Is this guy for real!?!?" Then he posted something about him having adult ADD and I made a connection to the guy on the swedish forum.

Roadtoad: I agree.

Thanks for the word, Hawkan.

My youngest, Matt, is ADHD. He still hasn't grown out of it, in spite of what people claim happens. We had to avoid medication, since it tended to space Matt out, and left him worse off.

Yet, Matt can still function. Even as he was reading TP's posts along with me, he kept asking the same question you did: "Is David Koenig for real?"

Seems the answer is, "Yes and no, but at this point, who cares?"

ADD or ADHD do not excuse or explain the guy's shenanigans here and elsewhere. I suspect something far worse: VIS, or Virtual Irrelevancy Syndrome. It's a disease that's arisen with the advent of the Internet, I believe.

I believe TP to be more GI (Genuinely Irrelevant).

I have ADD, and I have never grown out of it. That doesn't mean I can't function without medication, but I do a hell of a lot better on some, and am much, much happier. I still don't need it though. I chalk it up to personal awesomeness. *

I'm sorry, TP doesn't seem to have ADD or ADHD. He just seems to have a chronic case of the moron.

EDIT: *sarcasm doesn't come across well in text does it?
