Looked a little fishy to me.

No. This can't be.
She knows how much neglect and abuse many experience on a daily basis; so this year, she has added something new to her teaching methods - Millie, a precious teacup poodle! Millie only weighs 3 pounds but she has a thousand pound heart, because everyday she is with Helen at school - with children who are in deep distress. Crying and holding Millie helps tremendously. That little dog works as hard as Helen - trying to heal some of the terribly wounded hearts of our littlest ones.

For those of you worried about dog allergies, rest assured this variety of poodle does not shed and does not have dander, so it is effectively hypoallergenic - unless you just don't like dogs!
'Effectively' hypoallergenic? So if you are actually allergic to dogs then it is your fault for not liking dogs?
Both of us believe that God has a very high purpose for The Peace Rug and that is to help heal broken and wounded relationships - for the children.
Which is no doubt why God charges:

Quotes from 'real' children:
Students asked, "Could we do this at home? I fight with my brothers and sisters all the time." Days later, many of the students reported, "We don't fight anymore, and we also ask Mom and Dad to go to The Peace Rug® so that they won't fight, either!"
A genuine quote from young miss A. Nonymous and her sister M.A. Dup-Person.

I certainly would trust my psychological welfare to these people:

For everyone who has just too much money and hyperactive children and can't be bothered to think about what might be really wrong.

well, I think they were pointing out that if you are allergic to dogs there are several breeds that are ok for you to own.

Poodles, Portugese Water Dogs, Wheaton Terriers

Also, at my school we have a "peace table". The kids have to sit there and work stuff out, while a teacher refs. Having a table between the kids keeps them from hitting each other!;)

While there's no doubt this is blindingly obvious

and the little old ladies are after a fast buck - I'd just like to mention that the effects of dogs on ill, stressed, traumatised people IS well observed.

My cardigan corgi, Mack is a registered Pets As Therapy dog - we reguarly attend a respite home for MS sufferers locally. Mack does bring a smile to people in a terrible state - many cannot move or speak anymore... One lady last week was lying on one of those big recliner chairs under a blanket - I had not seen her move or speak the whole time - I sat Mack beside her and he snuffled her hand (I know, he's not supposedly allowed to lick anyone! But he is wormed & jabbed etc!) Her smile was amazing - she did speak - kept repeating: "He's braw. He's braw..." (That's "lovely" or "beautiful" for all you none Scots)

Made my day, the nurses day, and that woman's day - yeah, I gave the wee pudding a biscuit and a hug when he got home! Ahhhh... He does love doing it.

Cheers

The word "hypoallergenic" was invented in the 50s by cosmetics advertising executives, and has no real meaning. "Effectively hypoallergenic" is even more wooly.

Unless I read it wrong, the rug doesn't have magical powers. The rug is just a place where the children sit to have a discussion. "The Peace Rug" is a curriculum used to teach children to resolve their problems on their own.

Then why can't we just use our own rugs? Why must we buy a special one?

They are making money out of conflict.

I wonder if they are owned by Halliburton?
