I think everyone, male and female and those not quite sure, fell in love with Richard. He's so much more than a Grocho Marx avatar.

The one surprise was that he is an origami expert. He's written several books and claims he can even design a pigasus!

I love origami, and wondered if it's something a lot of us JREF people enjoy. I can't design, but I can mountain fold like heck when following someone elses directions!

Here is Richard, admiring his handiwork...

it's an elephant!

of course, my favorite was when he did a CAMERA.

The man has talent.

It's tough to tell from the photo, but I think . . . yes, I do believe that elephant has only three legs.

Origami poachers??

the other leg he folded into a little umbrella stand.

He's good (so good I stole that joke from him)

Mine survived the trip home quite well and now live with the pirate ducks and pigasus.

There was always something sneaky about Richard doing oragami...you never actually see him folding paper and yet the menagerie would emerge. Or maybe it was the wine.

Yes, I promised Randi I would make an origami pigasus.

Here is a photo of the evolution the paper pig. I think I'll been happy with it in another few days and then post it up for all to fold. The final pigasus and my original diagrams will be donated to the JREF.

Richard rocks. He made me a swell little kangaroo (I asked for a cat but he needed to think about that) and this was before I revealed I'd had that ill-fated boxing match with one. Psychic?? Well, obviously.

have to admit everyone was talking about which person it could be that boxed a kangaroo.

I have to have rabbit in a hat directions.

That dove I made for you Richard was done by my class in sheet music paper for a "peace day" celebration. Well I just copied a lot of John Lennons "give Peace a Chance" and cut it up in squares.

oh and the husband has wasted far too much time with the origami videos. He's on a conference call and trying to finish the collapsable helix at the same time.

Success! Pigasus is now an origami model. I am doing the instructions and will post them soon. Photos soon. Stay tuned.

I'm making the ones on the videos now. So far I've done the box and the fox puppet! They are so cool! I only wish I'd have colored paper 'cause they look a little bit pale in white :(

:)

Here it is... wings and all.... what do you think?

Behold the papery pigasus! This is sure to win you the plaudits of the multitude (oh wait, you had those already, folding all that other cool stuff). Anyway, well done!

YEAH RICHARD!!!

I would like to place my order for one personally folded, and signed by you...

for a suitable donation to which skeptic cause sir?

Also my teenage daughter having heard you an a movie "extra" asked if you had ever played a zombie. Seems like a reasonable question.
